Government regulation is superior to corporate regulation? I don't know about that. If a corp does something I don't like, I can always switch to a different product or service, or opt out altogether. When a gov. regulates something...where is the recourse?

I love the achievement and nobility ideas! Both would definitely add more RPG-ness to the game. The civics I don't really care for. I don't want Elemental turning into Civ. But that's just me, so as long as it is an optional setting, sure.
The only big studio game that I am really looking forward to is Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Otherwise, I am mostly excited by a host of indie titles that are on the horizon. Best of all, it seems like a few of those are games that even older PCs should be able to run.
You're vids are excellent, btw. Been going through them just to kill time until the big day is here. [e digicons]^_^[/e]
I recall that Egosoft held a contest for fans to produce a trailer for the X3TC 2.0 expansion. Perhaps Stadock should do that too (post-release, of course)? I like the new trailer, but it might be fun to have a trailer contest that could tie-in with the whole Elemental Army idea for points and prizes. BTW: Once the game is released, what will become of the Elemental Army? I would be cool if it continued to tie into the game in a metaverse fashion.
I would love a PBEM option as I never have time to sit down for a multiplayer session. PBEM Elemental woulde be awesome (yes, to the max!). [e digicons]5*[/e]
Guess it's time to whip out the ol' credit card and pre-order. [e digicons]:erk:[/e]
Good thinking, nonetheless. [e digicons][/e] I wonder if such a system is possible?
I like the sound of this. The only problem with this idea is that, based upon GC, the question du jour always seems so arbitrary. Whenever there is a galactic council, the question is far removed from my concerns of the moment. It would be neat if your sovereign could call a council and formulate the question. I guess the question could be created using a system like that found in the diplomacy screen (e.g., Should Empire X have to PAY/SURRENDER/TAX, etc. In other word
Congratulations! I hope it's Martini night in the office! [e digicons][/e]
While going through today's press releases, I found this interesting one from German game company, Headup Games: Headup Games has announced the launch of the official website to their upcoming game, Trapped Dead – the first tactical zombie survival game. Trapped Dead is a tactical real time strategy game where players control their characters in a 3rd person isometric view through a mature Zombie survival scenario inspired by the successfu

Same here. When I go to remove my existing avatar, I get an "Upload Error: the image could not be removed. Try again later" message. If I just try to upload a new image, I get an "Upload Error: -200. Message: 500" error.
Same here. I just tried to remove my Sins avatar (sorry Sins, it's time to go medieval! [e digicons]:'([/e] ) and was unable to do so.
Ogre! This remains one of the best sci-fi tactical wargames ever made. I am really surprised no one has done an update/tribute game yet. I also liked its unofficial offshoot, Omega: In Omega, you got to build the Ogre (I
The boys over at Blind Mind Studios were kind enough to give me an interview with them back in July. A lot the material has already been addressed in this thread, but there are still some interesting tidbits in our article: An Interview with Blind Mind Studios There are also some new screenshots there (well, they were new back in July [e digicons][/e] ).
The normal Sims I played once in the first version for a few evenings. I borrowed it while a friend was away. Mostly I really didn't get it. Same here. I never understood that craze with that game. Then again, I never understood the Starcraft craze either. [e digicons]O:)[/e]
Looks like the next Sims game will be a medieval kingdom simulator: The Sims Medieval This might be the first Sims game that catches my interest. A medieval setting could offer lots of interesting gameplay.
Very funny article on dragons. [e digicons]^_^[/e] Thanks for that! (and complete agreement on CGI. God help us, now we've got Cameron running around with CGI scissors [e digicons]x_x[/e] )
Quoting CrusaderScott, reply 10They also need to completely overhaul the UI. More than anything, that kept me from getting into the game. I could partially agree with that, except the part not getting into it part. I would love for easier access to info in game. I spent way too much time looking at online spreadsheets and looking up guides trying to figure out what the hell was going on.
Ex
