It'd highly inaccurate. I care about HP, defense, and attack. The individual importance of those all depend on my own army's strengths and weaknesses. If I have a high-attack army, my enemy's defense is less important to me. A good rating system is not an individual index, but a direct matching of my army versus another's.
This

I don't have anything close to a lack of quests. In the game I was playing though at least 80% of the quests generated at start were epic quests rather than a variety of strong, deadly, epic, etc. City spam vs pioneer spam - it is a good distinction, that with the current mechanics is almost impossible to seperate. Perhaps there could be one kind of pioneer for outposts and another more expensive one for cities? I'm also of the opinion that something els
Update, found out the GUI being lost this time around was due to a memory hogging crashed fallen enchantress process which was actually still running simultaneously. It runs fine if I check after a crash and make sure no processes are still running from the game.
It would be nice if it was clearer how much exp each unit or character is getting.
I agree with all the OPs comments. My suggestion for Archer (Units, not champions) is simply to move all the techs for it closer to the beginning of the warfare tree.
Bugs: Spell: Eyes of the Eagle - Hasn't worked since .85 Nature's Ally & Summoner - Doesn't appear to be benefitting from the +2 level bonus for summoned creatures the trait specifies. Steal Spirit - Champion is killed and no spell ranks given. Also, everything which was on the champion simply disappears. This is annoying and if intended, easily exploitable by stripping them na
This happened in .85 and seems to keep happening. It seemed to go away for a while when I made Elemental an exception to Kaspersky but it was back in my most recent game so maybe it was something else. In any case in any game I play I keep losing the GUI on a regular basis, particularly after any battle but also at other seemingly random times.
Yeah, I think it is too cheap as well.
This spell only gives me +1 health on the unit I had enchanted it onto no matter how many earth shards I have. When cast in combat I get the bonus for my earth shards. I tried recasting it and was still only getting the +1 health.
I don't have a problem with it. If you're making too much money, lower your tax rate to improve research and other stuff. Mana, when I go to war I can burn through it pretty fast on my super stack. Especially since in one of my games I had to build land bridges to attack the spots I wanted to. So far I really don't see the problem with it.
A lot of nice new features that make the game a lot better. The balance still needs a lot of work however in my opinion. So yes it is on the right track, but it still has a ways to go.
Not "listening" to the public forum posters was not even remotely a significant issue. You can, on any game, always find someone who wrote a forum post demanding X or Y be done. That is, after all, the nature of forums.
You still seem to rather flippantly dismiss what was rather large. When you announced your plans to go gold it wasn't "someone who wrote a forum post". I remember reading the forums that w
Quoting Rishkith, reply 47 God I find that last comment obnoxious. You learned the wrong lesson from WOM. If you think WOM would have been a great game had we just thrown in more forum goer ideas you are mistaken. A lot of what was wrong with the WOM design was because its design, which started out as basically MOM, slowly mutated based on endlessly throwing in user ideas to the point that the underlying engine wasn'
Rather than everything having to be carried by everyone, there should be a Kingdom/Empire item vault. Even if you have to learn to build it in your towns, you should be able to store items in a vault rather than carry them around. Unique items acquired by units can then directly go into the vault rather than disappearing. But overall, it would decrease the nuisance factor and be interesting content.
There is ALWAYS a reason for an 'accident'...so much so that the cutesy term 'accident' is simply to appease Joe Public.
You are confusing cause with purpose. Every "accident" has a cause, but that does not mean it had a purpose (intention) and that is what makes it an accident.

The downside is that I'm pretty bored of the current patch. Tired of seeing the same issues over and over again and I've said my good comments and don't really care to repeat them (even if temptation says I need to out weigh the horrible suggestions in the forums). I am in favor of doing a new patch for fresh feedback and post in a change log the things you're not happy with and still working on. Few things suck like spending a ton of time making a change and going a d
People who think young people should just go out and get a job are out of touch with the times and probably a lot older. I am very fortunate that with the Aerospace upswing my skills are highly sought after and I'm constantly recruited by headhunters. Unfortunately not so for my younger nieces and nephews. I have a nephew who is a hard worker in Portland, OR and pounds the pavement every weekday he doesn't have a job. While he has gotten a bunch of temp jobs, he hasn't landed ANYT
Actually there was tons of strategy in wizard creation. I still like the "No Picks" semi-exploit that allowed you to rush towards the Spell of Mastery. There were a lot of strategic choices. There were a lot of spells, races and buildings that seemed like junk... but when combo'd in the right way were just incredibly powerful. Read this and go to section 7. You don't need to strategies to beat the AI,
With a bow? You just laugh at him. But yes, Tactical movement speed does need reducing or capping for those without mounts. Anyways there are a lot of "Yays!" in this post. Shall I skip to the criticism? Don't take the story out of the sovereigns. I REALLY like the way it is presented now and actually wish there were more splash screens rather than less. It really adds to the EPIC feel of the game. People who don't want to read it will just click past it
Early rushing by any player should also give any other factions of that race in the game some bonus population, or maybe trigger a "Refugees" event which gives a bonus population growth for a time.
I really want to see a robust diplomacy system implemented along with this and the diplomatic capitol above is great. Some things mentioned above like Super-stack versus guerilla warfare should also be partially up to having different "AI" personalities. As for the narration, I think that every time there is a "state" change there should be some kind of message at the minimum. For instance if the war so far has been about raiding and harassment but the AI now be
