No, game still comes to a memory stand still after every new game. Current patch seems to be really bad with I only get a turn or two before the game grinds to a crawl and I get all kinds of graphics glitches. It needs a final bug stomp at least.

the mechanic is great, the in-game explanation for it is lousy. There should be a global message when the development starts and it is no longer an option.
Not yet ready. Three major things that SHOULD prevent it from releasing. Game still crashes for me after memory build up. Particularly after creating a new game (rare and slow when starting the gaming and loading from a save). Monster AI is horrible. I'm not the first one mentioning this so read earlier posts. When monsters do raze your town, the spot is lost forever to "salted earth" which should be fixed/removed. Fix those three
So sequence of events to recreate this bug. 1. Get an item from a monster lair. 2. Choose trade instead of equip 3. Trade it to a hero in the group = Item is disappears instead of being traded.
I always hated the way population was implemented and seeing it go was a blessing. It never added a thing for me and took plenty away.

Brad wanted to hear our opinions on how to play the AI better. So here are my opinions: Monster AI: In general, most of the monsters should be extremely aggressive with a short leash distance. In my last game there has been a forest drake traipsing back and forth through Ironeer and Kraxis territory willy-nilly just walking by my outpost, their outpost and a Kraxis city and I've never seen him do anything. There are other monsters that are similar. Anything with a la
Things that are needed before beta 5 lock: An item vault like Master of Magic - I have an empire, why do I have to CARRY all my stuff? A scrying spell for distant locations. Also fix Eyes of the Eagle while you're at it. I want to see Champions suffer horrible spine breaking injuries. Then divine healing life spells to heal them or necromancy spells to twist them. We need random events to spawn quests. Like those adventurers waking up dragons y
My impressions. Some nice gameplay changes and numerous artistic improvements. I however only rated it fair because I see a lot of bugs persisting all the way from beta 1. AI is still dumb (PEACE TREATY? NEVER! oh but surrendering is fine). Pioneer spam is still prevalent, though city development is much better. Tech tree is improved and more meaningful. City development is more meaningful and snaking doesn't happen but we still have options.

I like MoM better not because it is balanced (balance is worse in MoM than FE). But the one thing about MoM that still makes it more fun is that it feels more like playing in a Fantasy world. The constrained maps of FE just feel like "level design" and have the artificiality of "game level design" schools. The AI needs to have more personality and act it out. FE needs more meaningful choices in terms of strategies. Don't get me wrong. FE is closer to MoM than it is to WoM. But eve
It doesn't really feel like the game needs yet another resource. Some of the "resources" that are already on the map could be more meaningful already. More buildings and more tradeoffs to building those buildings would go a lot further in my opinion. Essence is going to be a hard sell to myself, and I suspect a number of other players.
Oh good news. This actually makes me look forward to beta 4 again and not be afraid that you're not treating the player feedback with the WoM route.
Steam the digital distributor is great. Steam the DRM that requires a constant internet connection really, truly sucks and keeps me away from buying stuff through Steam whenever possible.
I really like the idea of adding more wildlands as I've really been enjoying the wildlands so far. Though I do see the problem of some civilizations completely swarming the wildlands with outposts so you have to go to war with them to get to it. I'm having this problem in my current Tarth game.
Playing Magnar confirmed what I thought. Focusing on slaves and magic has made Magnar easily my best powerhouse so far in the early game. Magnar makes a great fire/death caster from the back in general (he doesn't suck with a sword, just shouldn't be his focus). Different sovereigns should be pre-defined by the AI as to what class they're going to pick. Mage should be a must for Magnar, Ceresa, and Procipinee. Assassin for Lady Irane. Accordingly they should all play from
In response to the above it isn't about how many cities you need to win. You can win easily without the land grab the AI resorts to. It is just a lot more fun to explore a world which is still mostly wild than to explore a fantasy world which looks like the Oklahoma land rush. Also, in addition to my alternatives suggested originally I add one more which I don't like as well: (Borrowed from Gal Civ 2) You need to use multiple pioneers to grow an
Okay, something needs to be done. The AI isn't being dumb, but the pioneer gameplay spam is very annoying. Elemental is supposed to be rebuilding in a cataclysm, but all I see is a dense urban world of warring tribes. Doubling the cost of pioneers would be a good start. I want to explore in the game, but the only way to do that and not lose out on every inch of ground is to explore with pioneers so you can immediately plop down on any good empty spot of land. Maybe split pioneers
I wanted to make a post on rival civilization AI. The AI as far as I've seen only has 1 form of AI and it isn't really well adapted to many civiliations. In this post I'm going to focus on Magnar , but I would also say that it handles Resoln, Capitar, Pariden, Tarth rather poorly. The AI just does expand and melee bruisers. I've been playing mostly Tarth recently and Magnar has been in all my games. In none of the games has i
That is a hard one to reproduce as a tester, but I've seen it a couple times. Get the poison effect on a unit in battle. If it is the last unit on its side and it loses its last bit of health due to poison. The combat should end with a victory but the game locks up instead.
Everybody should always have morals. Certain companies I won't buy games (Not Blizzard fyi) from because I know in the long run it hurts the industry. Even a good company can produce a bad game that shouldn't be bought.
I hope it is intended. Standing next to a dire bear that long can be really bad. Stalkers move fast as well. Animals aren't that overpowering, it is really a low level power that is quickly outgrown.
Champions unable to capture towns is a great idea. Same with solo champions in foreign lands.
Okay, this is might be just me but I thought I should be fair and at least post why. I haven't been testing much because I get frustrated at each and every game and just rage quit. Why? Because the AI is stupid but it "Cheats" a lot. The civilization AIs are just stupid. Ceresa is trying to be a warrior and just fails. They pick weird mixes of gear and items that don't do well. But what they do do is get a free pass from the wilderness. I'll just start clearing an
