You missed the follow-up on Game Politics. I think that the really big hoopla is that it is a rather slow blogging week for gaming related stuff so know we're blowing stuff way out of proportion.

Beta 1a's planned for Thursday...AND I think we've just fixed the big, nasty save game bug! So that's pretty awesome.
Look forward to proving you wrong on thursday! Err.., No. Um, I mean look forwarding to finding OTHER bugs on Thursday!
It isn't that UPS is pulling ads from the Beck show, something that I think few would see as a problem. They're pulling their ads from the only news network which isn't a total Obama love fest. I don't like the idiocy on network news in general. That and the total wasteland whichi is television is why I've refused to own one until I got a Wii... and even then I disabled the antenna so it can only be used for video games. So I'm already boycotting Fox News, MSNBC, CBS, etc. I can get m
I really just can't stand EA
I really enjoyed fighting against the planet itself in Alpha Centauri. I'd love to see that kind of AI at work sometimes in E:WOM.
No, because buildings that increase prestige are not the houses which give you the best benefit to population growth.
FYI 2012 will usher in the 6th world of the Mayans, which is they believe makes it at least the 5th time their incredibly long calendar has ended. Also, if you research into isotopes a little bit... you'll find they disagree with each other horribly. Depending on which Isotope you choose to measure with you could get anything from the Earth being 400k years old to 20 billion years old. The estimate of 5 billion is determined by a rather odd bit of statistics too complicated to get int
The crux of the issue is that the cloth map is solely for displaying the necessary info. If you start throwing too many colors into the mix you mar this intention. For example, when I see blue, I can quickly determine following... - If it's a blue icon, then it's somethign that belongs to a certain race - If it's a blue line, it's a river - If it's a faded patch of blue, then I know it's arctic land<br
[removed, new game in same session issue]
So uh, what is the patch schedule like? We're already sold, just don't know how many times I can re-test the same bugs :p Not trying to rush you (Wait, am I?) but we're very eager to see everything in action on the tester end.
Don't worry, only the ladies will be looking at you in that video. The game was riveting my attention and I only heard your voice.
Agreed, it should be just like when you start Galciv2 and when you end turn it ask what you want to research.
Agreed, I really like this idea.
The survey is also useful. Though it would be more useful I think if it mentioned specific problems. In finding the source of the bug it is very important to know the frequency it occurs with and also any conditions present when the bug occurs.
I've seen it in screenshots from Stardock :p I've not seen it in game. But no other creatures that I know of have hardly been mentioned. Even the Journal says "Dragons and other Beasts"
I realize that like none of the content is in yet. But since all we've seen are Giant Spiders, Trolls and Dragons and don't know what is coming I thought I might throw out some suggestions. First off, I'd like to see the ability to make world monsters stick to the correct environment and not roam the whole world. Would Giant Spiders really just randomly traverse the entire continent at high speed? Seems like very un-spider like behavior to me for a critter that normally lays in wait.
+1 The galciv movement system would be a good start, but I'd realy like to see it go beyond that.
Demigod is owned by Gas Powered Games and not Stardock who is just the Publisher.
It might not hurt for beta users to start writing one along the way. Be nice if we could get a wiki or something to develop.
I have the exact same problem. Also in the same loading game file I'm missing all the techs I've researched and the ability to build improvements that come with it.
I took ownership of it. With the magic system not in yet that is about as far as I would expect them to go.
I picked the same faction and they started nowhere near water in the middle of the continent, surrounded by mountains and forests.
I really love the music. I love that I'm not having nearly as many problems with crashes and stuff as other people so far :p
Same problem happens from the load game screen in the game.
Saved the game to show my wife the awesome intro movie. She is a Trogdor fan so naturally she liked it. First I checked out the options and then clicked on the save button and got this graphical error: dxdiag follows: ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 9/17/2009, 18:04:53 Machine name: [c
