I would go one step further and remove the protection from units, too. Only the Sovereign and Champions should be protected.
Not much of a racial ability if the people of the race don't benefit from it.
Great idea. Not sure if they have time to implement this in there.
There's no release date yet. Regardless how they fix it, this is one of those jarring things that really leaves a bad taste in your moth when it happens. It is invariably a "What the fuck?" moment.
Got kicked out of another faction's territory and was teleported from #1 to #2. There were many more logical options for places to dump my sovereign.
Hmm. My understanding is that the 3 turn requirement isn't in Beta 5. It was still in the Beta 4 series because we had just transitioned from the population model. But in Beta 5, I think the only limit is that you can only build 1 unit/building per turn max (i.e. no MOO building of 742 ships per turn).
Beautiful!

Rebalancing heroes versus high-end groups, no 3 turn build/train limit, more unique buildings per faction like the scrying pool, the dinasty system enabled, better road building, random spells like 3rd book of the magi always in game ( like A Dance with Dragons in WoM ), no identical quests in the same game, more aggresive monsters, the ability to recruit high-end m
Island Dog you missed the whole point of my previous post.
Can you explain your point better? I took your post to say exactly what Island Dog did. In the US at least companies don't charge any more for an iPhone data plan than they do any other smartphone. And the iPhone prices are roughly in line with any other super-phone at release.

What a great idea.
I don't understand the people who think mods available at release is somehow a bad thing or indicative of a larger problem. The beauty of mods is that they give the players choice. Maybe I don't like a particular design feature that the community or the devs love. Mod it away. Does that mean the underlying game is weak or poorly done? No, it just means that my preferred gameplay is different than what the devs have in mind. The game that

The hero/army problem is something that can definitely be worked out in Beta 5. It's all about finding the balance between leveling, troop-dependent research, gear, and maintenance costs. There are plenty of very simple (and very bad) ways to make armies more desirable than heroes. It's not a problem that requires new systems to solve. The difficulty will be in balancing the two existing systems so that they feel like a real choice. Right now the

I see several problems with trained units as of right now. They all boil down to one simple idea: The game has huge incentives in place for basing your military power on heroes/sovereigns over trained units with no counter-balancing features in favor of trained units .
