There are several game concepts that have this problem. Another is the level up traits of heroes and how certain traits act as gateways to other traits. It's almost as if SD assumes that all FE players will end up members of the forum community and will get the nitty gritty details that way. Regardless, it's bad for those mechanics to be hidden and vague.

On topic though: Why does anyone care about "save scumming"? Seriously, who gives a shit? Play the game however you want to get enjoyment from it. Use cheats, don't use cheats. Save and reload before every battle. Play house-ruled single save
I hate to break it to the TC, but one of the reasons I bought this game was because there was no ships in it. (I did my research from gameplay videos and stuff). I really hate managing all ships/water lanes/ports in a 4X game. When I found out that FE didn't have ships, I was happy to buy it. So in direct contrast to his entitlement of having bought the game because there was ships in it, I bought it because it didn't have it. Didn't bu

Oh and by the way are you crying right now? Becuase your coming off as a Entitiled spoiled brat. GIME GIME GIME RIGHT NOW WAAAAAAAAA!!!!! That they sucked is your own opinion.
Except that developer effort is already done for these features. They simply need to be turned on again. How long would that take? A few hours of work.
The developer effort ISN'T already done for these features. If they were to throw them back in as they were in WOM they'd be tacked on, poorly integrated crap that would confuse new players and detract from the quality experience that
I'd be curious to see more details about the Sovereigns involved and the relative strengths of various factions at the moment dog-pile-war is declared. I've played several games of 1.0 on Challenging and Hard and never once had the AI dog pile on me. I wonder if its particular combinations of rulers (Altar likes to bring others into war, for example) combined with a "wounded animal" affect. Not questioning that this is a problem, but I wonder if som
One of my favorite play styles is to create a custom faction & sovereign able to recruit all champions for free and then to use those free recruits as bonus spell level ups for my sovereign. If you stress your research for hero recruiting, you can end up (in a long game/large map) with a sovereign that has all six schools at level 4 or 5 by level ~20 or 25. Of course, at that point the game becomes mostly meaningless on all but the highest difficulty levels because your sovere
It depends on when you purchased War of Magic. It's a sliding scale starting with anyone who purchased in 2010 getting it for free to people who never purchased it paying full price. If you think you're account should be getting it free because of when you purchased WOM you can email Stardock and they'll fix it.
Tiles are counting as "river" still that are actually plains. This makes movement a nightmare since each square of river ends all movement. See the two images below. In the first the cursor is hovering over the same square as my unit. Notice it's marked as a river even though it's 2 squares from the visible river. In the second the cursor is hovering over the square between my unit and the river. It is also marked as a river even t
That path makes a lot of sense actually.
Maybe it makes sense algorithmically, but that's about all. It makes no gameplay sense whatsoever. It's not the path an individual would create for themselves. The roads, which have options to remain mostly inside my faction's influence actually end up almost entirely outside of my country's influence And al this gains you no benefit while expos
Same here.
I know. This horse is already dead. But please consider changing the logic of auto-roads so that they're created in a smart manner. See the picture below for another example of bad roads. Seriously, if I was my sovereign I'd probably cut off the hands of the construction engineers that decided where these roads were placed. It doesn't help that roads through the Wildlands don't actually gain any benefit to movement. It acts as if th
Fallen Enchantress is free for anyone who purchased War of Magic in 2010. It's Brad's way of apologizing for WOM being a... substandard game.
What difficulty level are you playing on? At certain levels the AI monsters behave less aggressively towards everyone. That's by design.
I've reported something similar before. Whenever fighting spiders there's a good chance that you'll use up all strategic movement no matter how much you have left for the turn. I think, but haven't confirmed, it has something to do with being webbed at the end of combat. I have lost as much as 5 movement after winning a battle with spiders.
If I attack spiders with multiple strategic movement left I occasionally end the battle with 0 movement. I think, but haven't confirmed yet, that it happens when you finish the tactical battle webbed. For example I had 5 strategic movement left, entered a battle with a Ravenous Harridan and it's party. When I killed the last spider I was webbed. When I got back to the strategic map, I had 0 movement.
To have a strong Mage sovereign I usually equip them with decent armor and weapons early on and utilize them like a warrior. Level path of the Mage, grab any +spell damage or -mana cost traits. Either level your chosen magic schools when you level up or use Steal Spirit to level them by killing off heroes that give you advancement in your schools. Also, focus on building your economy around mana generation. As many Conclaves as you can support and grab & u
