You're essentially spending a faction point, of which you get at most 4, for a very low level tech and ripping yourself off in the process. It's by no means free. That one crappy low level technology has an opportunity cost based on all the other abilities you forgo to get it. What you're doing when you select Uneducated and Scholars is saying that no research penalty or bonus plus a bottom tier tech is the equivalent of a 10% research penalty and Tough, for e

The random map generator uses stamps to build the random map. So more stamps means you have more possible combinations for your random maps.
Brad said in another thread that the map pack would include new stamps ( link ). For all of you complaining that random maps are the only way to go, stamps add to the variation of random maps. Brad: I'd make sure that's clear when the DLC actually goes on sale. People need to know that the map pack benefits random maps as well.
Yup. As of an hour or two ago. Got it via SD central.
Dragonfly Bracers have no cost on the Sovereign creation screen.
I'm also interested in the map pack (provided the maps look like they're quality is worth $5). If the pack contains other stamps, that's even better.

My point (as stated in another thread) and advise if you WANT to learn how to use it is do NOT use Start8. Spend the time with the UI and get to know it. In a short amount of time you will learn to navigate behind the scenes to get it configured like you want it. From there you just might find like I did that you are able to navigate around the OS faster than you could in Win7.

How much active time with the device is your review here based on? What's your typical use case on a tablet? What is your tablet of choice? Not trying to discredit anything you said. I'm just curious about the above questions as a matter of perspective on your thoughts on the device.
I've been using it since commercial release. For the first day I found Metro to be frustrating as hell. I nearly grabbed Start8 to get it to revert to something closer the Windows 7 layout but instead I decided I'd spend two weeks on vanilla Win8 and give it a chance. I guess I'm a power user. I spend a large amount of time on my dual-monitor desktop, some light coding, heavy use of keyboard shortcuts, etc. In the intervening time I&

Sure there are ways of dealing with Juggernauts. Make sure you're in a position of strength vis-a-vis Yithril. That's the beauty of Juggernauts. They're a bitch to fight and you have to plan for how you're going to deal with them the moment you realize Yithril is nearby. If you could deal with them just like they were any other unit they wouldn't be special, now would they? They make you adapt what you're doing. That's w
Xia is right. The point isn't to nerf Juggernauts. It's to make every faction have a significant distinction. Factions are certainly more distinct than they were early in beta, but even now running into most factions doesn't change HOW you play the game. I`m quite new to the game, so i`m unaware of some things. If your units does nothing but move during its turn, it is considered to be defending. This grants it a +5 bonus to defense. There used to be no division. It was one of the driving factors that lead to heroes being absolutely godlike. Hell, not godlike. They were gods. Stack up a few heroes and go to town. Nothing stood in your way. The division of XP is a nice mechanic to spur player thought about party composition. The problem, as StevenAus pointed out is that the mechanic is largely hidden and therefore never enters most players' minds.
