So Tarth just asked me for peace. I accepted. They then attacked one of my units. Killed it. And then sent me a message about my treachery and redeclared war. This all happened during the same computer turn. At no point in any of this did I take an action except to agree to the peace treaty. Jarring as hell and certainly something not firing right. Can provide the save game from immediately after it happened.

Is Blood Season a one time thing in that it forces all factions to declare war and that's that? Recover and make peace treaties as you will? Or does it apply some sort of +war modifier for a certain number of seasons? I'm ~15 seasons post Blood Season and most factions still have a "I love war -3" relationship with me. Just curious how it works, mechanically.
If Tireless March is active on your sovereign you can't cast it on anyone else. Not sure if it's a mechanic change (then the tooltip for the spell is wrong) or a bug (with no mechanic change).
Not every race has their special combat ability listed in the mouse over text when creating a custom faction. Races without their ability listed: Men & Mancers, Also, it might be beneficial if the ability was given its own space in the mouse over box like other traits so we could see the details of the ability. "the Guard Strike ability" doesn't actually tell me anything unless I'm already familiar with the Guard Strike ability.
I know, but thanks for the tip. The bug isn't that I was unable to center on my units, but that both genre convention and UI behavior from EFE (I fired it up and double checked) will re-center you on a unit when you click on their empire tree icon regardless of whether or not they are currently selected. In LH, it only re-centers you if you click on an unselected unit.
When I have a unit/army selected and scroll the map away from that unit clicking on their picture (they're already selected) doesn't re-center the screen on them. I'm not sure if that's the way it worked in EFE or not, but I thought so. It was jarring enough that I thought it was a bug anyway.
Cool. Just wanted to make sure it was intentional. Out of curiosity, is that something that is still up in the air or is the xp calc remaining this way?
There was a line in the original LH beta change log about XP not being divided among stacked heroes anymore. It is still divided. Not sure which is the way you're going since that line is gone from the change log now, but FYI. Can provide screenshots if necessary.

Toss up between Alpha Centauri, MOO2, and Civ4BtS. If forced to pick I'd probably say Civ4BtS most often, but would likely give a different answer depending on when I was asked. Honorable mention to Warlords 2, which my buddy and I fired up on his HTPC a few weeks back and played on a big screen. Good times.

It's also worth pointing out that Frogboy emphasized low hanging fruit. The easier, resource wise, a requested change is the more likely it will be to get implemented. There is no budget/time for large scale overhaul.

Stick with FE. Work in finding that perfect balance between more depth in all the systems and the right balance between the systems. You're on to something with FE, it just needs some more love and experimentation.
Congrats man!
The problem with it, and with the quest victory, has always been that the rest of the world is completely apathetic once you start down those roads. Hard to believe that the rest of the Sovereigns of the world are your equals when they clearly don't care that you're about to sap their control of their kingdoms in a very direct and personal way.
Probably the best review yet.
Does the Anthys map ignore set game settings? It seems like shards & heroes are both few and far between no matter what I set the map options at. Also seems like the wild lands don't show properly at times. I saw both Morain and Torax in areas that looked like they should be wild lands but without borders, without quite the right number of mobs, and without the wild lands quest when I entered the area. Edit: Does Anthys not scale for the
