Enemy AI isn't to terrible as far as strategy goes... But you would be better off commanding lines of rocks than your own soldiers. Its more or less a bundle of straws which breaks this camel's back. Lots of little bugs which are numerous, but relatively few game-breakers (aside from the toxic assets bug).

For $20 you should probably buy it if your system can handle it and you can spare the cash.
I personally liked the Rome: Total War (which came free w/ preorder via steam) more than Empire. First off, Empire runs pretty badly, even though I have a decent system (9800GTX+ GPU, Phenom II X4 920 CPU, 4 GB RAM). The loadscreens are so long it makes you never EVER want to play a battle, especially small inconsequential ones. Then there are the bugs... Ew. I have come across around 5 instances of a bug I have nicknamed the 'toxic assets' bug. This bug makes it so an entire naval
The heore's girlfriend picks one of the guards up, and after swinging him around, throws him into a computer monitor, which causes the deivce to explode in a shower of sparks. The other guard panics and runs, but is cornered by the heroe's girlfriend, still in her monsterous form. The gurad screams like a mainiac, then the heore's girlfriend EATS THE GUARD, then burps, giggles and turns back into a human like nothing happened.
Children's movie
This kind of game is primarily played single player, by people who often like huge, epic games that can go on for days.
And thats only on the 32 bit version! The 64 bit version you could potentially make a map so big it would take litterally generations to play through it all. After all, 16 exobytes of RAM is alot of map potential...
Banned for banning the banning banned banner who I wanted to ban because I wanted to get the 3000th ban as well. [e digicons]:'([/e] I've been watching the thread length grow for days now.... Ah well, theres always 4000! Banned!
Banned to satisfy my urge for revenge.
"Demigod is a filler game, just waiting for the good ones." But if you think about it, all games are just filler games while you wait to die. :D *morbid humor ftw*
Banned for assuming there are words in telepathic communication. In fact, words would likely not be used since one could communicate thoughts directly.
Banned for over-reaching statements. How do you know extraterrestrial politicians do that? Maybe they communicate telepathically and so can't "tell" people what they want to "hear," since they lack vocal abilities.
I really loved the WW2 in leetspeak on page one, had my laughing through the whole thing!
Well, the Middle East has their book burning Taliban, it seems only fair we have ours I guess.
Banned for thinking size, not time, is relative. And for posting in a thread that is already way to big.
Nobody is going to be running around with a “throng” of dragons. Oh come now, There will be those of us (myself probably included) who will play on a map so insanely big we will have a small army of them. And if we still can't, there is always the realm of modding! Dragon hordes are inevitable. On the topic of stacks of doom, the way I see it they are the result of to many choke points. Stack of dooms are only good as long as th
I think a world generator like that of Dwarf Fortress would be nice here. Especially the more involved of the two ingame options. There are litterally hundreds of parameters in there which can be tweaked, everything from the desired percentage of megabeasts left alive to how volcanic the map is. It really fills the big void in world generating between the two extremes of "Completely random with no or very little say about the end result" and "The player decides where to place each and every l
Banned for... OMG 110 PAGES!!!!! IS THAT A FORUM RECORD??? Banned for not being serious about The Game. It is not just a game any more.
I play! Tag "Alwaypwns" (because I do (sometimes*)) You will know it is me since I have the same avatar as on these forums. There are some annoying people, but overall most or more funny than annoying. The funniest thing I have seen on L4D was when an 8 year old kid joined on our team one time. Funny for two reasons... One, because the game is rated M (17+) and the kid said it was his favorite game. Two, because the kid wouldn't stop singing in a high squeaky voice into the mic.

Just wait until you try the 'grand campaign.' 100 years (200 turns) in control of an entire nation...
Banned for bringing an unclean beast onto the forums. You should have at least washed it first.

Banned for making me read.
rewards for high scores(items that boost stats) I am of the opinion that high scores should be rewarded only with vanity items which change your character's look. Especially in player vs player, where a newbie already has quite a disadvantage. I do not see any sense in giving those who already excell the most an advantage against future opponents.
