Just don't trade wood to the elves.
[e digicons]^_^[/e] found this out the hard way. Also, goblins are incredibly annoying little buggers, keep storming my fort and killing four dwarves at a time. Finally had to have my mayor come up from underground and kick their @sses with a pickaxe. [e digicons][/e] The only thing I wish the game could portray better would be what your dwarves are wearing and storage of items. I want to
"Beta 1Z" ? Honestly Frogboy, you're just making up letters now
"Z" is a made up letter splits? [e digicons]:P[/e] Seriously, I can't wait to vote, but I have a feeling my vote will be no. This game needs to be the best game i've ever played, and if that means it needs to stay in production for 3 years I'll wait patiently.
In the early design (long ago now) everything was fungible. Your farms produced food and that food traveled throughout your kingdom to be consumed by your people based on the populations in various cities.
This design is what I loved the most, I'll write more later as I'm kinda busy, but this is a very important topic so I'll be back. I'll fight for something similar to Camp 1 until it's dying breath [e digicons]^_^[/e]
I think I'm gonna try to find a copy of FFH...
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=171398 here the official link
Screw the balance, I want to replay!
There is some truth in this. FFH was not truly balanced. neither was MoM, neither was X-com. But these two games are considered some of the greatest games of all time- FFH isn't technically a game unto
I love the fact that we'll feel more 'invested' in each and every citizen instead of the usual 'send the masses to their deaths'.
I don't think it will be that immersive. Not like how we were attached to our soldiers in x-com, or how we were attached to heroes in MoM. I think it's going to be more strategic (military might vs. people available to gather) rather than "OMG, Thorin Razorback died in that battle! NOOO!" [e digicons]8O[/e]

I think the OP had some very good points. So let's not bash them and tell them to go play something else. I think what notthepic is trying to get across is not that this game needs to be "realistic" in that it would replace our daily lives, but that instead it be realistic enough to remain engaging no matter how many times we play it. A sk yourself, what is the reason you stop playing a video game? Well for FPSs and RPGs you beat

What should our powerful mercs/children be called? Heroes or Champions? Just pick one or the other, no explanations. this is to be a quick reference for the devs I say "Champions" Current as of 9:52 on Mar 20th: Heroes: 7 Champions: 23 The most recent journal entry says, Player Input: Champions, so maybe we m
Does anybody else think it's odd when your sovereign's wife repeatedly gives birth when your sovereign hasn't been in his capital since turn 1? You know its a game right? wouldn't take long to travel from the capital back to where u were in a year. we could come up with many ways of how it could have been done but its just part of the gameplay you want to have fun right?
you know he's joking right?
I think we all pretty much agree we dont want workers.
workers we control. Watching non controlled workers building the roads would be pretty cool though.
The tool against city spam is the rising upkeep (more cities = higher upkeep).
thats quite a "gamey" solution for reducing city spam. If that's the only way they keep us from building a lot of cities I will be thoroughly disappointed...

I decided to bring it over from that site so all could see it, and the fact that I like it a lot. It's been produced in a game before so I think it'd be a very good starting point for Elemental to use as a place holder and improve. Here it is:
Public Works: In civ 3, you use Workers to improve your land. Those are built and appear as regular units, and are issued orders to build mines, roads or whatever. The main
I hate to break it to RisingLegend, but I'm enjoying testing Elemental in it's current state.
Then you sir are crazier than a shithouse rat [e digicons]|-)[/e] I hope to one day get into the art side of game design and so I am trudging through this beta as experience with games that are not finished. But I am a very impatient person, and so I'm learning to be better at that through this too! I just hope a few of my ideas for the game can get

Everyone here is crazy, the beta is not fun at all . I know you're probably thinking that Boogie is over exaggerating, and that his [e digicons]:)[/e] smiles mean that he is joking, but I will say it again, he is not. The beta is not fun, and will not hold your interest. it should only be for those who have incredible patience and wish to maybe one day go into game design. If this is not you? Then forget it, I promise you, you will not enjoy this experience.... [e di
He is born with uber powers that already mark him as the second coming of Elvis. Everybody knows he is uber and treat him as he deserves, not allowing him to take part of mundane tasks. Once the cataclysm hits, he is too busy taking a nap for like a hundred years before he decides to use his uberpower to bring the land to life. And he forget his spells during the nap so he has to re-learn them again. He is born more or less aparently normal. There might be something
I endorse this idea for Elemental -- end turn without moving an army, and the army fortifies. Do it again, and it fortifies further.
I like this idea, but only if there were some representation in the tactical battle. For example: Turn 1: move into a forest square. should you be attacked in that tile, battle will take place on open grassland near a forest (hardly any coverage) should you not be attacked,
