You could also think about basing whether or not the tile would activate based on the level of the unit stepping on the tile. Maybe it would only work for a Sovereign that's level 10 or higher. Just some thoughts.
Yes. It's like I was saying about alignment and skill above. There are thousands of options for amazing creativity if these kind of things are available to us
Just make your 2 tiles, or your six tiles as separate entities. Tha
Heh, It'd be pretty cool if you could make a notable location act like an "epic lair" in FFH ... high chance of random battles and a low chance of a goody drop, and it only disapears once the goody/Item is dropped. Edit: For that matter, a notable location where you can simply visit for random battles might be cool. Maybe a world limit (or national limit) of 1 visit per turn.
If this is possible, I'm going to create an arena. I think it'd be great

Cool, Frogboy! Thanks for givin us these tips, I have a feeling I'll be using them a lot in the future. Is there any way that you could set up a "% chart" that gives you different items based on chance? I saw in the code there was a "likeliness". Could we set it up so that its more likely that we will receive 50 gildar instead of the midnight stone? So in example: there is a 70% chance you'll get this: "you search the ruins only to find 50 gildar in gems"&

Omg, guys, this is crazy. I still remember the first time I found out about stardock. I was standing in best buy. 14 yrs old, deciding which pc game I should buy with money I had earned. It came down to two choices: master of orion 2, and the original galciv. Still can't remember my reasonings but I picked galactic civilizations and never looked back. Ended up staying up all night destroyin Drengin. I can remember the original Galciv2 website coming online, and even stranger than that
Care to explain? I have some problems with certain design decisions, but overall I can't wait for v1.0. Lot of stuff -what we don't like- can be changed via modding, so I am not worried.
I'd like to explain in my words, which I'm hopin Tuco can relate to. I'm concerned with how much time we have left before release. One month away, and people still look like they are based off characters in a second rate childrens tv show. [e digicons]:([/e] Its dis

Is this the art that is going to be in the finalized version? cuz it looks awfully sh***y [e digicons]:([/e] I'm all for how the main map looks with its unique style and all, I think that was a great step towards giving Elemental that individual look of its own. But the people? seriously? I was hopin to see some really beautiful people by this time in development (ala the sims 3) but they just look fake and disgusting. how much polish can be put into a game in 1 month
Animations is a possible gamebreaker to me. The way they were in Master of Magic is absolutely unacceptable today. I want to see a swordsman striking an enemy with his sword, the enemy mouthing according to the pain and damage and having the wound stay until the end of battle. When the enemy strikes back, he may smile with vengeance (In AoW:SM, a critical hit caused bloodsprays [e digicons][/e] I remember my Unde

Awesome, glad to see this is finally getting some focus!! I love the idea of terrain providing defense. As for the Randomness vs. Richness question, I don't want to run into maps that I know exactly what to do because I've seen it before. I definitely vote for random maps. Combined arms sounds cool too. I really hope that this game is a lot like X-com!

So Im gonna do a little AAR here. I'm making a few rules to keep things edgy [e digicons];)[/e] Basically, the rule is, all terror missions must be attempted at night. To avoid suspicions of the common folk. Also, no more troops can join the Extraterrestrial Combat Unit, it is all top secret of course. (this latter rule may change, depending) Basically its my first AAR ever. Feel free to comment, but please be kind lol. Anyways, here goes! <span style="text-decoration: un

If we're going to have advisors I think they need to be extremely personal and engaging, like they were in King of Dragon Pass.

I agree its too early to judge. Just as GW said, I'll be volunteering if Elemental ends up poorly detailed for my taste. I can do 2-D art, just for future reference. I think I'm decent anyway heres a dragon (ignore her left wing [e digicons];P[/e] ) not much you can do when you draw with a pen [e digicons]:P[/e]
