Doctor Who.....really. Why? Probably the worst Sci-fi series ever made. And the novells are not that great either. Well lets hope the mod will be better than the show

Ok following the instructions both my friend and I copied the [sovereign internal name goes here] to the file below the [race name goes here] line. Now we got a weird result. I created 5 factions and 5 Soverigns my friend created 10 of each. We associated using the instruction above each Custom soverign to a Custom faction then started a g

Shame on you for constantly wasting our time having to read your drivelings. Go away. A lot of us love the game as-is. New features and updates are exciting. Quit shoving your gdamn pretentious crap into every thread, nick.
Could you please take your Fanboism some where else. Many of us want t

I just recruted a 2nd Level Hero Farmer and next to him was a Shrill Lord. So Farmer Brown (this is what I named him) was attacked by the Shrill Lord before I could move him. When the TB screen came up I clicked on the Shrill lord to see what I was facing and to my suprise he was a 60th level creature with over
I think the exponential growth in unit hp, attack, and defense scores, are the biggest problem. The elite training techs multiply hp and so does squad size. A full size squad with the most advance training has 36 times as much hp as a regular one-man unit. If the champion is to retain his comparative strength his hp would have to increase 36-fold as well, I can't see that realistically happening. Attack and defense scores are worse. A starting unit ha

All the mage champions scale fine if you have shards in your empire, but again, only in auto combat at this time.
But for those of us who despise any sort of Auto combat system in a TBS game this will not address the issue. I won't use it because it is simply not fun.
I think a way of fixing this is for them to have body guards attach to them. So for example if you have researched Squads then you should be able to attach a unit (of your choice to you Soverign such as Archers or Foot soldiers ext. Also there needs to be either an ability or tech that will allow your damage spells to scale damage so that you can stand up against bigger units. I do have a question, is there a way to combine units of the same type if you had already researched
I've gone back to HOMM 3 and Dominions 3 until Elemental gets a few more patches. Dominions 3 is an amazing game if you've never played it. Obviously there is a demo so check if it's your style before you buy. There are no tactical battles. Basically, you give orders to your troops and they automatically duke it out. You can watch the battles and it can be pretty fun to do so. Giant battles between undead and huge gorilla men anyone? <br
Does Dominions 3 have tactical combat?
Fantasy Wars / Elven Legacy is probably worth a look rather than Fantasy General - same thing but more modern. If you want a turn based RPG the Eschalon series is currently on sale on Impulse. Reminds me a lot of a rogue with graphics. Oh, and try King's Bounty or it's sequel Armoured Princess. It's HoMM style tactical combat but an RPG. And you can fight battles with your pants.
Well people have alr
Well people have already listed most of them. I have not played DOM but have heard bad things about it. For me the best Fantasy TBS is by far AOW:SM. But I wouls also like to add the original AOW as well.
Were is this faction file located. I'm in the Elemental Directory and I looked in every fold but I'm not finding it. I am a bit of a noob at this.
Here is what I'd like to see to make the unit design more engaging and worthwhile: Greater visual customization. Put in alternate models/colors for armor pieces and weapons and let us choose between them. Just slap a little arrow on the bottom right of every item button in the unit designer and have it be a drop-down menu where we can click and select what stat-identical version of the item we want. I want helm
Quoting brainiac74, reply 44 I strongly agree with most of the posts in this thread. I really think tactical combat and units need to be far more varied. Compared to MoM, AoW, King's Bounty, MoO2 etc., I find the the tactical combat and units relatively bland. Perhaps this is a bad analogy, but comparing the tactical combat in Elemental to MoM is like comparing the card game 'War' (split playing card
I really like the Unit Design concept, its a really cool feature but as of now there really isn't much depth to it. I also think that it reeks with potential, and there many many things that could be done improve the current system into something that can end up offering more interesting choices than just worrying about being ranged or melee. One thing that could be done to spice up unit design could be to add special abi
Quoting scyldSCHEFING, reply 4 The problem with this feature, and the major endemic design problem with both the development of this game and Demigod, can be summarized thusly: A bunch of neat features were put together without enough thought given to an over-arching design plan that would integrate these features into enjoyable overall gameplay. As a sandbox game, this has manifested itself in El
Quoting Zawath, reply 7 I think the organized perk should be removed because it's just too powerful. I would also suggest that you remove the teleport spell if you can't teach the AI to use it efficiently. Nah, organized makes a game a bit more fun by allowing your leader to be able to adventure without being bogged down by his guardians. However it should really be tweaked.I really like having at least one
