Well... you seem to be harmless.
I appreciate the thought though, brother. Thank You
Well, you do begin like half the threads here, so it was a pretty safe assumption. [e digicons];P[/e] Still, I always feel like I've gotta stick up for people, which occasionally means I get overzealous. As for Jafo... sorry man. I pretty much disagree with you but you don't deserve to be called a cheap shot. Not this time, anyway. [e digicons]|-)[/e]
Raven X is not the OP. In fact he was just recently promoted to 'Apprentice' [this month] for contributions to the site/forum. As for the OP...it's a clear, simple observation. I am obliged to monitor 'popular/active' threads to determine whether they are "in flames" or not so sadly I must endure absurdity and drivel along with clear, lucid argument/comment.
Oh, my bad. Whoops.
Well, I remember that Gal Civ had something simple with the "Empire" system or whatnot... really, I don't care. I won't join a clan, but people can dilineate themselves however they want.
I don't know precisely what I want, but I do know what I expect from it. Really, what I expect is to provide content that modders would have an impossible or very difficult time implementing. What exactly that would entail I have no idea. I suppose that would include things like multiple map levels.
Stupid me, my opinions are redundant. Ignore this post.
It's amusing that the arguments here parallel those of whether piracy is right or not. Anyone who promotes drug use is a fool. The silly part of all this is that the OP is clearly deficient in logical thought processes which suggests drug abuse on a significant scale.
I have a pretty strong objection to your last statement. If Raven X's mind is damaged from long-term drug abuse, he would not be able to compose te
As someone who has never taken drugs recreationally or plans on it (I take medication to deal with my neurological disorder, but that's a different matter entirely) I am really quite glad that pot has been legalized [EDIT: in certain places]. Hell, I think smoking pot is not a smart thing to do whatsoever, but throwing people in jail for it and giving money to very iffy people is a terrible and wasteful idea. Legalize all drugs, reassign the DEA to white collar crime, make s
Yeah... the faction descriptions are simply a physical description of where the place is. I mean, most of them are well-written, but I don't know anything about the factions. And honestly, those physical description are not valid in a skirmish game.
Oh wow, that is sad. Sounds like a wasted opportunity. Movies that seriously deal with social issues are not as common as they used to be. It's sad that these movies suffer from obvious plots holes. It's also sad that script writers nowadays can't be bothered to simply revise plots to fix them, when it is really a very simple thing to do. I mean, really. Are they so pressed for time for that they can't go back and rewrite them?

Disappointed by the small number of troops, but excited about the prospect of having it expanded in the future. I hope that maybe we'll see 1,000 man armies... [e digicons]:pout:[/e]
Hey Brad... I'm concerned that we won't see 10,000 man armies anymore. Is that the case?
Also: characters trump story. In fact, with good, interesting characters, a good story will arise pretty much arise on its own accord.
In terms of story, the weakest bioware game is NWN 1. In terms of strongest story, it was definitely Baldur's Gate II. Dragon Age I thought was actually pretty decent if clearly not a Masterpiece of Storytelling. Best story in a game? Traffic Department 2142. Man, never has a game had such mediocre gameplay been paired with such a gripping story.
Ah, I get it, so you are designing story-based quests, is that right? That's a good idea, but I don't quite understand how it's different from just a mod that's a pack of quests.
We could have some potential problems due to licenses and such, if that would be the case we would just write with Elemental WoM as an inspiration. I sort of like the concept of Capitar being a bunch of really diplomatic assholes, especially funny since my family are diplomats. I think the first thing I'm going to concentrate with them is making a really weird cheese build with "diplomacy" as my primary weapon. I don't have a clue what that's going to look like.
Dumb double posts double posting.
LOL. Another feminist trying to ruin everyone's fun.

Fuck political correctness.
While these assholes above me are super-diplomatic, I sort of agree with them to a certain extent. I argued heavily in a prior thread that female characters should not be gimped. However, there is sort of an established setting here which takes place in a male-dominated society. There's a certain extent where I think for game purposes such civilizations should be flex
Oh wow. I'm not sure exactly what Elemental Fan Fiction would entail at this point. I'd gladly sign up, but right now I'm writing to escape my perpetual unemployment, and I've saved enough money to get myself self-published when I'm done. I'd like to participate, at the same time, I've got a ton on my plate, since I'm writing between 4-8 pages a day not counting editing. If I have any kind of inspiration, I'll be sure to send something to you.
I bring this up because all of those peeps in the city look pretty human to me. That, and I'd expect they should be acting differently. Everyone should look a bit more downtrodden in my opinion with perhaps a few elite nobles walking about bossing people around. Just my impressions.
I pretty much feel the same way. The villagers don't have many dimensions to them, and they aren't very colorful, at least compared to the units.
Hey Brad, you might want to rename "Goody Huts", considering many of them aren't huts, they aren't necessarily good, and plus, "goody hut" sounds gamey. Anyway, looking forward to the tactical battles that are apparently not in this Beta.
