I'm just wondering which sorts of units people generally use in the game, at least in the early to mid-game before heros' power becomes out of whack? Personally, I find it completely useless to construct units. It may simply be that I haven't played a game long enough, but I find that the pre-constructed units are simply more powerful, and since they keep up with the latest armor and weapons, I can't really design anything better. I can't see any u
Bringing back dynasties is a bad idea for FE. I might could see it in an expansion down the road, but I would rather the current features in the game get refined before adding in others.
Let Stardock refine the AI for the current features and once finished they can focus in the AI that can handle a theoretical/possible "The Dynasty Strikes Back" expansion. Same for some possible, but higly unlikely, naval content in the "The Hat
I need a strategic healing spell other than regeneration. But yeah, healing seems to need some boost.
It's slow and I can wipe the map (if choose) before I come close to reach the heavy armours. But I play in small maps against 3 AIs. Larger maps would be still slow but in theory allow to get farther into it?
I haven't tried it yet but making a custom Sovereing, I could pick all the Elements and leveling, end getting lots of spells and such. As I haven't tried yet, I don't know what happens with the Spells/Skill/Item bar when it becomes so long in 1280x1024. Maybe something like this: In any case, I somehow would like the option of grouping the Spells/Skills by

I don't see picking more than one Path as a problem. The more you pick, the less chances of getting specific stuff from them (unless you are uberlucky each time you level up). If my "tank" sticks to Path of the Defender(or was it Warrior?), he has more chances of Leadership/Tactician than if he dips also in Path of the Assassin. Paths determining the gear you can use... no. Not enough and different gear to allow such thing. My "Mages" already have to use the best mundane armour I
My last game had it happening twice, including Csilla getting +2 Dexterity each level due to double Acrobatics.
I remember losing a good army of regular troops to some "maulers"... [e digicons]o_O[/e] It's awesome ability and once you have some levels/gear to back it up, makes other special attacks pointless. But hey, it's a nice mob slayer so I can save turns.
I took Delin's lands in the last game. Killed everyone there and visited all the green spots (the green chest icons?). Not sure if that triggered anything but the green border dissapeared and I could build there.
Not sure if "bug" but I have found myself in a situation in which I had a Champion trying to cast Blizzard and when the moment to cast it arrived... not being able to cast it because there was only one enemy left and there was no way for me to target only him. The spell requires to target at least one enemy unit and must not target any friendly unit. My case didn't allow me to actually use the spell as the enemy was surrounded by three sides. I tried pressing Space, Esc...
I only had a couple of games and I'll take as true that Champions need tweaking but I must say that I do quite fine using normal troops to kill anything. Bloodthirsty + Charge + Fast + Spear + Learther Armour set (to add some survival). Add the Sovereign and, if possible, a Champion (for special traits that benefit the army and because they can grow to be tanks/dps of legend... Verga was quite legendary mauling dragons in turn 1, inb4 nerf). Develop Groups whenever you have the ch
As far as influence goes, that is precisely the purpose of outposts. To exert influence. It is a fortification supporting a garrison, whose purpose it is to exert upon the lands within reach, the influence of the building nation. In FE: one outpost on the edge of a nations borders should help protect ownership of a tile that has been historically owned. In war, outposts should be able to exert some thieving influence. They do afterall represent a p
Was playing with Yithril with Verga as leader. Ceresa seemed to have trouble remembering my name each time I went to visit her. But her memory improved when I declared war on her.
Outposts have no real population ("skeleton crew" at best), unlike any city. So it seems fine than a nearby city eventually takes over the area*. And altough an outpost can be used to cap stuff in fertile lands, they seem to shine in the barren lands where cities cannot be created. The numbers may need tweaking but the idea seems fine to me. * Bob, John and Pete (the "skeleton crew") cannot compete with the growing presence of outsiders
Internally there are differing opinions on what we think of this mode and we would like to see what you guys think about it.
I started using the new mode until I noticed this option in the menu. Have been using it since then. But I like the two options. This is a case of "more options = good".
Having the city build mode zoom option on, click on "Build" city option ( not the "Build" option for buildings). While in this mode, if you click "Build" (from city) again, nothing will change but when you finally click "Done" to close this mode, the camera retains its position and you must manually change the view. If instead of "Build" you click "Details", the "Bui
In my latest game, as one of the Empire, I made a custom unit (spear and basic armour). Some turns later I found that Pariden was producing the same type of unit (name, looks, traits...). I even had the chance to fight one of them. Save game can be found here: Save game
I tried to use that spell once when the last remants of the Altarian Kingdom were approaching a carelesly defended city of my own. I wanted to soften the opposition and charge. So I cast it... But... what's that? <img src="http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn195/summersong/Fallen/003
Disclaimer: I haven't read much to avoid "taint". I have also skipped the Tutorial (to check how easy was to learn by ignoring it) and played the game at Novice (so I can make experiments while I play and because first game is always a test). Had a couple of early crashes to desktop but later I have been playing the same game for several hours without trouble. Nothing special as in WoM beta I would get some solid patches and others that made the game crash too often. But g
