Soon, forced internet connection to play your single player games! Yay! :D
I'd say The Witcher 2 but... I would like to buy&play the first which I cannot because Impulse doesn't allow my little corner of the world. Silly me, I know. I'd say Dragon Age 2 but... Impulse cannot accept my money due to region lock. I'd say Dungeons but... need to investigate about the DRM first. It doesn't say which and it includes the "NO REFUND!!1!1!!" clause so need to be careful with preordering this one. Not that I ever ask for refunds though. IN any case
To Brad...and his famous dev. tem where is add-on for Elemental...one that we were promised 3 months ago. Obviously you can not keep promise...elemental is big failure in every way. Try something else...but dont make games anymore...no point in that. In another, normal company, would get fired long ago...for the damage done to the company. Enjoy while you can.
if people don't have a closer look at the game because they don't like the title, is that really a non-issue? I agree for the loyal fans its quite irrelevant, but it might affect sales from new customers. lots of people tend to be very superficial, judging a book by its covers (I do it too if there's no other incentive to look closer, like a recommendation).
Elemental: The Boobs of the Enchantress I'll let yourselves to im
You know, you don't have to release the source code if you write something for linux. It all depends on how you license the software. There is software out there that is closed, and for linux. Just FYI.
I know. Just mentioning the usual petition made of Stardock releasing the source code.
You have to admit though, that if one doesn't know what 'fallen' means in the context of the fiction, I can imagine it sounding a little... clumsy. If you say something like 'Dark Enchantress' its a little more cliche, but at least it doesn't have the double meaning.
Fallen Paladin.

Why doesn't any Linux/Mac games developer make an Spiritual Succesor to Elemental for those platforms?* Valve? Blizzard? Any of the "locals"? Even if Stardock were to diversify in the near future (where "near" could be "no less than some years" as far as my total ignorance about the topic goes), right now there seems to be no real reasons for them to go beyond their Windows scope, despite Linux/Mac fans not agreeing with their reasons (as in many many many many times and threads menti
I shouldn't be doing this kind of stuff but I couldn't resist:
If they made the radical changes necessary to the original game, people like (some of the complainers) would do nothing but complain how they destroyed the original game, and they wanted that game fixed, not a new one built on top of it. Well guess what, now you can have the old game, and the new version! And you're getting it for free!
So simple and yet some people prefer to ignore it. As you say, there's just no pleasing some people

I understand the association that some people think that must be between the title and the content. Yet I find it unnecesarily forced. If Stardock wants to (sur)name Elemental based on its Books, more power to them. But yeah, some people would prefer it be named "Elemental: Wild Wild Wildlands" or "Elemental: Brave New World". To each his own.
Stop bitching or I'll wake up and you all will cease to exist. :P Everybody with some sense knows it's always a matter of (reducing it to two parts) "Those Who Believe In Something" vs "Those Who Believe In Something Else".
Let me start by saying that I agree with you (I remember the times when I used food flavours to talk about Elemental back in the betas pre-1.0... now I talk about pants, apparently). One reason by which it's difficult to dissapoint me with the game is because I actually set my expectations very low (see OP for some of the reasons) and follow the "As long as it's fun" motto. That doesn't mean I end totally happy with all its elements (Dynasties, I'm looking at ye in your latest incarna

I can not wait for Derek`s version of Elemental. It should be everything we were expecting from Brad`s version that we did not get. Freebi
