I congratulate myself for being the first entity writing (and posting) (some kind of) an AAR for this game. That said, it was in Comedy Channel more than History Channel.[e digicons]o_O[/e] [e digicons]:P[/e]

What was that about not conceding single player terrain in the name of multiplayer?[e digicons]:S[/e]
Game isn't released yet. Only true preorder through Impulse (if you pretend to get access to beta).
Well since i missed the conversation when we decided what combat system will be in the game.
You work for Stardock? [e digicons]o_O[/e] I'm fine with Stardock's new approach so nothing to add.
No way I'm suffering endless Egads again. Time to leave the forums (from a posting point of view) for a few weeks (sorry, Bara XD ).
Game is turn based. With squared tiles. Each player has his turns (one player after the other). Difference with the "proposed turn based combat"? You can "move" all your "pieces" in each of your turns (no initiative or alternate turns like Chess).
@ Raven - You are looking like a Fallen Sov on that picture.
I'd vote old fashioned Ventrue. Or Lasombra if you prefer.
I remember reading that the non beta Elemental would be able to be played offline if one wanted
By default the game is offline so it'd be better to say: "non Beta Elemental would be able to be played online if one wanted". Patches needing internet.... well, it'd be expensive for Stardock to have a Patch Delivery Service in which someone goes toyour house with a memory stick and....
Certainly, I remember tactical battles from MOM being extremely fun - but MOM was single player only.
Elemental is mainly single player. Multiplayers can get, said with all due respect, forced autobattles by default.
Doritos flying...[e digicons][/e] (semi) On topic: video and/or wall of text about tactical combat. That's what mere mortals demand from an Elemental point of view.
This is going to be long. I beg for forgiveness up front.
Long? You call that long? PM me for some lessons on "Wall of Text"ing. :P
Tactical Battles. Tactical battles haven’t been part of the beta but they’ve been heavily discussed. Originally, tactical battles were designed to be RTS. Then Continuous turns. But as time has gone on, it’s become clear that the gameplay that people (and frankly that we enjoyed

But chances of it happening in such detail as people have described are incredibly slim.
Less talk, more mod (when it's possible XD ).[e digicons]:moo:[/e]
Some "Elemental" beta, "Spellforce" and some "Gabriel Knight: Sins of the fathers".

If I were to get "Living Worlds" (as some define), I'd demand "Living Cities". And then enjoy people complaining about micro.
Bye bye K&C![e digicons]:D[/e]
I wrote this some time ago: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4996295/elemental_rpg.html And that's why I think it would be possible and not too difficult to create an RPG module (extra planes/instances barriers aside... and ok, the eye candy forthe stuff you might want to use, like in D&D classic). From there add options, change rules, add "Living parts"...
espionage (does it even exist?)
(99.99999...% probability of) No. At best something rudimentary in comparison with the other systems. (imo)
Wasn't the first priority "Fun" and not to try to create "The Thirteenth Floor"? The player may have fun seeing a totally immersive world. The DM surely won't find it so amusing to spend tons of hours (for free of his free time) to just detail that random goblin you could encounter in a dungeon. Especially considering the tendency of players to wander off limits and the DM needing to improvise to adapt to the situation (unless he railroads the players). Anyone wants to play Aria:
No Beta 2 out yet. Just "Preview" threads at best.
