As long as Channelers are gimped to death... I mean, they are powerful (I make all my Champions as Channelers and make them level up together along some meat shields) but I have yet to really test them well... need more enemy armies with archers/cavalry. Huge monsters can be a problem and enemy channelers surely are too if they get area spells (11 HP channelers seem to suffer some kind of alergy to damage...).

[/quote]I haven't been able to try it yet but it sounds like it's the Beta version of the faction creator. In those times there was no Empire option in the game so they may have forgotten to remove that limit when including it (due to popular demand, don't forget that bit). You should be able to change it through the XML if you cannot wait for Stardoc

Sometimes the game fails to create the .zip file (which includes that .dmp file and the debug.err in My Documents/Elemental) but generates successfully the .dmp file.

Maybe six and I don't think that more than 8 would be wise. And in addition to the limitation of number of rings by Champion/Sovereign, (some) rings could be limited to 1 of each type.

I used the Tarth as a base, are you creating an entirely new Amazonian race? I look forward to seeing that! Also, just a note for you, you can include more then one thing in an .xml file. For example, you could include your race, the leader, and any special items in one single .xml file for distribution if you want. Makes things a little more s

This is mod about "Amazons". I'm making it primarily for learning purposes: knowing the XMLs, messing with the tile builder, textures... Once fully finished, it shouldn't play very different from a Kingdom faction (as they are right now, if we ever reach a Twilight of the Arnor level, then this mod would require more "meat"). I wanted to add some "touches" to it but after the release and some plans by Stardock to change magic system, I may have to wait before I follow those ideas I had.
Pirates don't matter (even if some companies get paranoid about them). We, paying customers, do. They trust us to uphold the EULA, of being our own "DRM" (single player wise... I'm supposed not to talk about multiplayer), instead of forcing some kind of anti-costumer method on our game (license).
I have played most of the afternoon/evening without problems. Well, at certain point it didn't allow me to open the train units window (after some hours) and corrected itself after restarting. Hasn't happened again. But so far so good and fun. :)

The limited number of seeds in the maps would be a valid concern. As I haven't played it yet and/or read about it with more detail, up to which points it's really a serious issue is something that I don't know.
Why does the people get the feeling that it was taking out for good and not just "until we have something better"? I have always supposed that latests changes to the game made the faction editor we had non optimal for our use and that's why it was moved out temporarily. I wouldn't mind the back the old faction-o-matic though. PD cheaters could open the XML created with the faction-o-matic and mod it their way anyway.
