Hopefully my copy shall arrive in the mail today :-). Then we shall have a constant battle as I strive not to finish work early for the day :P.

Bara makes a good point. Can play Elemental => Have a PC => Can view the forum. Maybe not as conveniently as with an IPad but oh well.
Remember there was little to no attempt to bother with balancing for 3C. Be assured this shall not be the case by retail :-) :P.

It's not really a game yet 2. what makes you so disappointed?
Indeed. If you were expecting the usual 'basically finished game' beta of Blizzard, et nearly-all then I think you were misinformed. Atm you certainly aren't expected to be feeling th
I can't think why i haven't suggested it before but I agree with the above that "select next available unit" is very very highly needed for ease of use methinks :-).
Quoting Slainangel52, reply 37 Stardock fortunately realizes this, if somebody wants to pirate something, they'll pirate it, that's a simple fact. Yeah, too bad other game developers don't I guess they are being idealistic or something to think they can develop THE system to end piracy. Like you said, it's up there with world peace, the end of poverty, and the end of crime. I.e. never going to happ
I don't see why everybody's making such a fuss. Everybody will use Lady Procipine as their sovereign anyways. And we all know the popular slang meaning of "Procipine"...
Will it be an awesome game? I think so. Does it have the marketing budget Or the mainstream appeal to be one of the best-sellers? No, i'm pretty confident it doesn't. Unfortunate :( but then one of the reasons i love SD is that they'll happily crank out awesome games despite them not being dumbed-down to suit absolutely everybody.
What with the huge mana cost of volcano, how about it destroys resources in the tiles around it? Magma flow would of course be cool but likely to be op and difficult to balance. Though if you can get that working, earthquakes, storms would be nice... basically anything you could do in Populous 2 :D :P.
Imperium/Civilization Fairly solid atm, maybe a little tweaking needed here and there. Far bigger issues with othe research types imho though so i'll not go into this tree. Adventure Okay as it stands, needs more levels, preferrably due to having a larger variety of techs. Whatever happened to Assassin's Guild etc? Deemed too boring? How about this, just an idea. One example of a "range" of new tec
Beta was awesome fun :-), am most excited. The matchmaking etc will hopefully actually get me into multiplayer play this time around too :-), seemed to work pretty well with the beta. Also await the singleplayer campaign eagerly... especially as I'm a Terran player usually :D
Quoting Luckmann, reply 26I realize that we've been extremely spoiled by patches for the last couple of days, quickly jumping from B to C to a hotfix to C, but when can we expect 4? I'm anxious to make my own Kingdom. :3 Not until next week.
But Starcraft 2 comes out next Tuesday! How can you force such a fierce conflict upon my free time! :-(. *hopes unrealistically for a Monda
Then presumably the demons can get jobs as bouncers or the like :-). Or perhaps chartered accountants.
Extra Gold = Help prevent city spam and slow expansion at start.
Sadly I can't post a save as, interestingly, loading seemed to fix the problem. I found one of my cities had its name and label (hovering over the city) replaced by that of an opponent's city. If i selected the city it selected mine but the label remained a duplicate of my opponent's. So Umber's city "Rementer" (similar name but not exact) resulted in my city having a "Rementer" label. This later arose on one of my other cities as well! (with the Same AI city, if that makes a difference).
*casts level 9 "Support and kind words* at Stardock offices. If you want me to cast level 10 you'll need to finish Beta 4! :) :P. Seriously though, game seems to be shaping up awesomely :-). Still work to be done but can't believe how much it's changed since I started with 3A. Just played a game from start to finish without a CTD and... it was fun! :-). Still needs work but... good times :-). Thanks chaps/chapesses.

How about re-founding costs an increasing sum of money? Then cap city founding to either positive or small-negative gold amounts.
So... I'm playing as the Empire, went to report this bug and read this. Question is.... how do we get materials? :) :P
Surely software development is one of those magical things. No matter how much advance planning and work you think you have done you always end up with a week or two of utter insanity as you struggle to meet that dead-line. My understanding is that this is due to some sort of awesomely powerful witchcraft.
I think it should be reduced a few tiles too. A few times there was a resource i couldn't get to, sandwiched between my big city and a tiny opponent city fairly far away. I couldn't grow to the resource without several city levels and having to go to war to get something not even in my opponent's territory seemed more than a little silly. Btw this was for access to an old forest for materials right at the start. It then took me considerable time to get Any reasonable materials access due to t

This game shuts my machine off within 5 minutes of starting it. I find it hard to believe that the response I got from Stardock is that my PC is bunk and it has nothing to do with their game. I'm supposed to start replaing parts in my PC in hopes this game eventually works? I can play WoW for 8 hours straigh
