[.92][bug] Magical summoned units disappear if you don't pay them gold?

Maybe this is intended, but really? Gold? Mana I could see, or immortal souls or something, but Gildar? What's my familiar/dog gonna do with Gildar?

Also, this is off-topic, but that is the ugliest, scariest, most solid incarnation of a wisp I've ever seen.  Aren't they supposed to be, I dunno, wispy?

I was watching some beta videos on youtube(http://www.youtube.com/user/Gorstagg This guy is really good) and the uploader mentioned the same thing, paying gold to magical apparitions doesn't seem right.

Noticed the same thing. I have gold troubles at the start, so I went for summoning. However, as soon as my cash reserves drop, the summoned units are always the first to disband.

That just feels plain wrong.

Another inappropriate way in which summons behave like normal units is that when disbanded, they add to the population of the nearest city. Do your now unemployed bears and demons go get a job among the townsfolk, or what?

Ah, but there is no circus improvement in the game! Clearly, this omission needs to be addressed.

Well, I have it on good sources that ice elementals usually get bartending jobs. My citizens may be enslaved by marauding armies of demons, but at least they'll never lack for properly chilled mixed drinks.

Then presumably the demons can get jobs as bouncers or the like :-). Or perhaps chartered accountants.
