/Singed I agree with every point you make here 100%. My personal pet peve at moment is number 1, but that I belive are from not playing any game past the midpoint yet.

Counter-attack should be an ability that you can teach your troops, or maybe just high enough training gives
I just took this too mean that we don't have any 1 garden anymore. Just generally a garden around town, so it no longer have its own tile or graphic.
Don't think there anywhere to look these things up yet, But as for your examples, Lumber mill need a Old forest (or some such) a special tile. Doesn't help with trees. Quarries also need special tile I believe. Marble I think it's named.

Yes, the caravan system doesn't make much sense to me as it stands. Do I even make money on these? I only use them to make roads. There should be some other way for me to build roads imho, and then trading should be done automatic. Roads, markets and merchant should just increase my profit share.
Yes, seen fisheries on land many times without crash. But this is the first fishery that I've seen that's build in a city with no beach tile. Might be the reason for the crash.

Another problem with the house/garden spam is that it isn't a effective way to stop city development. Given time every city is a level 5. It vould look and feel much more real if you had a few big cities and some smaller once. As it stand there are almost no reason to not build the biggest city I can. .

I think it has something to do with the fact that every big tile is 4 smaller ones. If you zoom in enough you can often move your Sov so that he's in the right tile again.

Yes, very much agree. I find myself trying to do just that all the time.
Probably. One would think that a Sov that get him self killed without having a city is gone. No where to respawn. And since the AI is not up to task yet, it dies sometime. That being said, I've played 10 games or so, and never had a AI die on me on the first round.

Well my thoughts one the points you brought up: Power of Monsters / Getting Hemmed In Some of this might just be because we don't have any magic. A lot of our Sov's power are from the fact that he/she makes with the magic. A fireball, "stoneskin" or what not would probably make a difference. Pacing of the Game - Turn SPAM AHOY! Haven't had that experience really. Some times I might click through a couple of turns

Yeah seen this as well, Seems like the first city is free, and the rest cost more and more G's, but the tool tip doesn't reflect this. And I can build a city that cost 100+ as long as I got 100.
Haven't used that sovereign, but I would think that an escorted noble wouldn't count as "your army" so the skill wouldn't take effect.
Yes, the escort npc's need a higher base movement speed. Having my speed 7 Sov escort a speed 1 npc is a bore[e digicons]:zzz:[/e]
