I'm kinda concerned about this. It's happened twice. I start a new game, I place my city, build a couple things, and I move then end turn. Then I get a screen declaring me the winner. I think something horrible is happening to the other sovereigns.. something on an epic raping by trolls or golems from the start proportions.
Probably. One would think that a Sov that get him self killed without having a city is gone. No where to respawn. And since the AI is not up to task yet, it dies sometime.
That being said, I've played 10 games or so, and never had a AI die on me on the first round.
I've seen many messages that sovs were killed early on. Not sure exactly why though.
Sorry for the late reply on this but I had the full amount of enemy kingdoms in the game on a large map.
Every time this has happened to me (in 2, not yet in 2A) I've always had the same point total in the vicotry screen - 4321, I believe. Does that seem like the same issue you're describing?
I think I had that point total last night after playing for hundreds of turns. I suspect 4-3-2-1 is a placeholder value 
Ya It's because the enemy sovereign is killed, I've had a lot of bad starting positions in which I was started right next to a level 10 monsters, and surrounded by mountains, its an instant death, prob happens to NPC's as well, which in a way is good, you can tell they don't have a handicap, like pretty much every Nintendo game. course, Mine happened after about 20 turns, so I think the enemy player is just playing fast and loose with his sovereign.
