This is a very minor thing I spotted last night. I was at war with Procipinee early on, and captured one of her towns. It was in the process of building an iron mine. Thing is, she had researched the mining tech already whereas I hadn't. But after I'd captured the town the mine carried on building and was built fine. So I had a working iron mine before I had the tech to build them. Sure if I capture a town with extra goodies I haven

This is in fact a special Wall Street attribute. You expect to make more money but you find they've lost it all.
Can you provide a debug file or savegame? It's not very helpful for the developers unless they can work out what is going wrong.
I had a band of heroes trashing all that came before them. Altar was dying by my sword and magic. But unknown to me, my territory at home was expanding towards a rather grumpy umberdroth, which proceeded to tear apart my defences and raze my second city. My heroes could have taken it down but were too far away. Meanwhile I had a spelled up army but my mana levels were low and I feared being overwhelmed by Altar's larger armies and...oops. I w
That was fast!
None of them are big changes, they are mostly easily fixable bugs picked up in the first testing (and probably some in house). Still, it's an impressively quick job.
Lots of people have posted about this so it looks like its a "this is not working" bug
I have an internet connection that is somewhat bandwidth limited. I can download the beta but given my bandwidth is on a monthly deal I can't keep downloading 2 gigs. Plus my flatmate would somewhat kill me if I did since we share the connection. So my question is this - how often will the game be updated? Also will the updates require a complete reinstall or will they be a few hundred megs patches? I can probably only do one big download a m
I love that there's a version number attached. Compsci habits die hard.
And you thought you could get away with forum trolling...
A few hundred turns in and no crashes. A rather odd bug at one point though - some of my (Gilden) cities started appearing with names and stats of neighbouring Magnar cities. Was just the on-map UI and didn't affect gameplay and it disappeared after a few turns. I wiped out Magnar in revenge [e digicons]:-"[/e]
Looks like Froggy has an exploit to close when he gets back. I mean 'close' by making the AIs realise what you are doing and ganging up on the bad guy.
I still think HP need increasing. Some dude (possibly with wings and breathing fire) with say 100 attack comes along, you get a bad roll, nighty night.
Civ 5 can wait. I'm playing Elemental!
They are going to have to change the 'parties act as one' mechanic. Makes stacks way OP.
Happens on every game's release. And there will always be bug reports and claims the game is broken. I have never ever had a single game that hasn't crashed at some point. I'm actually impressed that there are quite a few threads with compliments and constructive criticism and only a few 'OMG this game is so crap and broken' threads
That's how you get the pre-made archer unit, but once you have the archer tech you can just design a unit with a bow.
I believe it is in game options.
0% as I'm waiting for the box. Damn these connection speeds and download limits [e digicons]:'([/e] In the meantime, MoM [e digicons]:)[/e]
They are random, just not 'that' random
Sounds like they need a lot more random map seeds. Froggie said in a journal that they had fully random maps but it took an absolute age to load and so they use 'seeds' (basic shapes) and randomise from there. Can't comment much though as I'm not currectly playing (will get hung drawn and quartered if I download that big a file so will have to wait for the box).

Its in the EULA that you are allowed to install it on two computers for personal use. You can install it as many times as you like, but you're not meant to have more than two at any one time.

You have encountered the police. You are arrested. Game Over. [e digicons]:P[/e]
Apart from the maths thing, it seemed a quite honest review. A lot of the main reviewers tend to gloss over bad points of games (see Empire TW, Spore etc which both got glowing reviews but were slated by the community at large - also see MoO3), he's saying 'I don't get this, this doesn't make sense' and makes some useful points. Did seem a bit depressed while writing though, maybe needed some sleep [e digicons];)[/e]
