Also AI STILL goes for the weakest army unit first! While I attacked an AI city, its units all went for a weaker unit of mine and completely ignored my squad of quite strong pale riders who were engaged in leveling its sov. How stupid is that!
Star Adder
Maybe. But it should have been so from scratch. Though I believe the others they had grip of winter or such cats on them. But I am yet to see something similar...
To fix this on higher difficulties the AI could get a mana multiplier and/or free/cheaper strategic spells.
Maybe ion higher diff levels in which the AI gets bonuses and cheats in other aspects anyway. But to REALLY FIX this, the AI has to be implemented in a way it actually manages it's ressources in sensible manner!
In my current game I agreed on a NAP with Lady Igraine (misspelled on purpose) of the Tarth. 5 turns later I get a message that the Tharth have cacnelled the NAP. possible hint: It happened when their relation with me went from neutral to hostile.
I just nailed two major armies on the AI's own ground and sacked three cities in a row with no single malicious strat spell cast on my troops. And that particular AI faction is quite powerful. So it ought to have enough spells and mana to lay waste on them... Very weird that...
The Ai also frequently uses unit enchantments and city enchantments, all of which are strategic spells.
*lol* ok, you got me on this one... ;) But it's really weird that I haven't had a single malicious spell cast on neither my troops nor my cities... Maybe due to the fact that I play on challenging?
I have played quite number of games so far. But NEVER EVER has ANY AI faction used ANY strategic spells on me! Example: In my current game another faction declared war on me and one of its armies was quite close to one of my cities. My nearest army was not close enough to reach it to defend the city in time, so I tremored the opponent's army and while my own army came closer I seized the opportunity to roast it with pillar of flame. NEVER EVER did ANY of the AIs I fought pull some
Jup. me too.
After you have researched the tech that lets you recruit lvl 5 heroes in the magic tech tree, you can buy one for 100 bucks at your local shop (when you have selected you sovereign or a champion below hisser stats on the world map you'll find a button "SHOP"). Each time you hit the shop button you can purchase one given that you have the money. And what StevenAus said. :D
Actually, there are a lot of big cats already. Stalkers, and Plague Stalkers... Just have to tame them... In one game when I got the Kitty quest she was a real killer...
doesn't update until the turn AFTER the change.
Oh, THAT...! Yeah, seems that's the ... Concerning the scying pool: Hmm, iirc when I built a scrying pool in an earlier release version the additional essence slot appereared immediately. But obviously the update on next turn rule doesn't always apply anyway. In my current game I upgraded my town to Slums and the +3 growth showed on the stats immediately whi
Gee, what else is STILL not working correctly... *rollseyes*
Gee, how much more stuff is STILL not properly working in this game... *rollseyes*
but there is a beatiful 3/3/3 spot just to the south of their capital. Why wasn't this settled?
Well, in my current game one of the AIs settled in my territory two times and another snatched a very nice spot for an outpost from me. So that might be just some sort of weird misbehaviour that isn't always there. BUT on the other hand their champ did NOT go for a goodie hut for multiple times though he had a good opportunity. Also I have come across the alre
IIRC Derek stated that he dropped the pop cost due to issues with the AI draining their settlements of inhabitants. I'm a bit afraid that it will happen with gold cost that they stay broke for ever from trying to spam more pioneers...
Playtested it in my lunch break for about 30 turns. Lots of good tiles to settle upon is the only observation I could make so far. I'm wondering whether a settlement in a 1/5/2 tile with enchanted hammers would be working well in terms of fast building and training...
Are there any movement spells besides haste that increases the humaanlike characters speed? A permanent enchantment type?
Err, tireless march? Also horses or wargs as mounts help a lot. :D
clearly you don't live in the United States
So sayeth the guy with the german nick. ;-P
People having crashing issues with Steam, was your computer built in 1998?
*ROFL* Didn't I say so?! Read the damned FAQ! YES you WILL be able play BOTH games as they CAN BE installed to coexist. This si the nature of a stand alone expansion...
Well, in MoM mages had a single fireball at their disposal, so that request would follow the spirit of MoM. if it's not too hard to implement: why not! Allthough mages are quite powerful as they are atm even without an additional fireball. Maybe they could be transported a bit further up on the tech tree or mad more expensive in terms of ressources and/or laborwork. Just rember how long it took to build a magician guild in MoM...
Simple solution: buy the game through Stardock, never purchase anything on Steam, and Steam can't do anything to you.
Of course it can. It will still need steam to be installed and running to even start the game. And if it fucks up your system coz you don't have internet, YOU are fucked up! ;)
Probably because high end cards are usually delivered with new drivers the games haven't been tested on. Happened to me too a few times while I was using a high end gaming rig myself. Now with a notebook and a vanilla Intel shared memory graphics adapter everything works perfect so far. [e digicons]B)[/e] But that's probably just because I'm not playing FP shooters, high end simulators or such...
Hehehe, that's what you get for purchasing a game on Steam... @Willie: We're getting the shaft for purchasing the game shortly after release along with ahving to wait for bug fixes nescessary overhauls n all.
Good idea! Second that!
