Ahhh, marketing. Or as I call it, psychology of the critic and consumer. Using Metacritic's numbering system from http://www.metacritic.com/about-metascores At launch, I would have given WoM a 15-20. In its present state, I would probably give it 40-50. As of 0.86, I would give FE a 60-65. If the tech tree, faction differentiation, etc. gets cleaned up, I can see giving FE a 75-85.[/quo

I prefer less land to settle on not more... I get tired of mopping up worthless AI cities. If they were to make city buildings really interesting and city specialization something worth doing, then maybe I wouldn't mind more cities. For now, less is more.
Oh I was going to mention one other thing... The AI is settling on 4/2, 3/2, and 2/2 tiles. Can it please look for better settling locations?
Hi Brad, Here are three of the AI issues I've seen recently. 1 ) I think the range troops (archers and mages) should start moving backwards on the battlefield immediately. I don't think there is any distance penalty for range troops is there? I'm finding that they start moving backwards too late and my melee troops can kill them in one swing. If they had started moving backwards from the beginning, then they would have gotten one more shot a
I like the way you've incorporated world resources to make city specialization more interesting in meaningful. I've brought that up in the forum a couple of times... hopefully SD is looking at your mod.
Sean or Heavenfall, can one of you guys create a mod for Nomorebeef that restricts him from using the shop unless he is in a city? Then create a mod for me, tjashen, and feelotraveler that has a quest that makes a merchant appear and allows you to buy unique items for one turn then disappears or some NPCs (like champions, but you can't recruit) that allow you to buy stuff from them or minor factions that do the same?
I am 99% sure this will not happen, so I will only comment that I agree with the current design.
Not to 1-up Sean, but I'm 99.9% sure this will not happen. However, I think they should allow us to re-prioritize the queue without penalty. That way you could take a break from making your 50 turn building, rush out an army troop, then go back to making your 50 turn building.
I was just pointing out that that is how we are able to trade anywhere within our territory. Traveling Merchants...
I know, but can you mod in that other stuff I was talking about? I would love to have more shopping options in this game.
Traveling Merchants...
are you able to mod those in? a quest that grants a temporary merchant or a champion with shop options or random buildings in the world that offer items for sale?
Sorry Nomorebeef... in the words of Brad Wardell, "maybe it's time for you to just move along and try another game". LOL. just kidding.
Nice video. I always thought running in place was a bug too. It looks silly. You should remove it. Please change/fix these three things: 1) When a hero levels up the perk you pick (the button) is hard to see. It's just an outline you can barely see. Make it apparent (maybe another background color). 2) Fix the mouse cursor in tactical battle. It gets stuck in some mode (cance

Brad, how come your videos end so abruptly?
What would the stat bonus for common traits have to be for you to choose one over a specialty trait like Healer, Spell Level Increase, Impulsive, etc.? +5 strength? +10 strength?
remember when we had minor factions in EWOM? i miss minor factions.
I think if nobody is ever going to choose the common traits, then what's the point of having them? They either need to make the rare traits really rare (boring) or just give us a bunch of really cool choices every time. It will be exciting and excruciating at the same time having to choose between 3 things we really want knowing if we make the wrong choice we may never see that choice again.
I bet if each faction had flags, that would solve a lot of the FE issues talked about in this forum. :-)
I like the idea of three separate paths to victory through technology. I don't like having to learn 2 Civ techs and 3 War techs to get my Magic armor tho. I hope they figure out how to balance someone who stays exclusively in the Civ tree vs. someone who stays exclusively in War tree vs. someone who stays exclusively in the Magic tree. A faction specializing in the Civ tree should get incredible city bonuses including walls and militia that are very difficult to take d
How are you guys seeing the random techs? Are they color-coded or something? I don't think I've seen a random tech yet or maybe I have and didn't know it.
I work in this industry so don't get me started. None of the carriers provide true 4G. 4G is defined as 100MB/sec. Verizon's LTE is the closest thing, but even they are not quite there yet. Verizon and Sprint were the first to fib about it so T-Mobile decided they should too. Not to be outdone, the AT&T marketing machine decided that they must tell everyone they have 4G even though they don't.
I was reading on the forums today people complaining that even in a post-civilization world (one where people are basically getting together from the ruins) that they would “know” how to do all kinds of things like make bows, swords, etc. I have a lot of friends who are active in the Renaissance and Medieval communities out there who always laugh at this kind of thing. The conversation goes something like this: “Really, you think you
What, you think a lay person can just pick up a stone and THROW IT?
LOL!
Do I dare propose the HOMM VI model where all traits are available at every level up? You get to pick one which ever one you want.
We''re not looking to pepper each faction with a hundred little things but rather have a handful of big obvious things.
If you're just looking big obvious things, then how about these ideas: + One faction generates mana equal to 50% of the experience of their troops slain in battle + One faction can hire both Kingdom/Empire champions + One faction is not penalized while moving th
Every time I bring up the fact that ALT-TAB'ing in and out of this game is NOT reliable, everybody jumps on me. Everybody will jump on you for having Windows XP. But just so you know, I'm on Windows 7 and experience the same issues bro! I really hope they fix this and quit disregarding it as only affecting a few users. I never have any problems with ALT-TAB'ing or machine going to sleep then re-engaging with my other games.
