previously, i would win on ridiculous every time... in my first attempt on ridiculous in v1.2, i lost so something must be better. need more time to evaluate.

I can tell you that I am one of the biggest EWOM haters out there. I can also tell you that FE is worth the money. Is that enough?

Hf nailed it. Change Pioneer to a population cost not gildar. Solves a whole bunch of issues as HF outlined.
I would like the OP's LH men to do battle against my 14-attack (+1 fire ring, +1 cold ring, +3 fire amulet, +3 ice amulet) ice staff mages. One shot ... pop! But you don't see me creating a post that 14-attack ice staff mages are OP'ed do you? The game is full of OP'ed strategies ... or at least it was until people started posting crap like this and Derek started listening to it. Argh. P.S. I miss the old Juggernauts.
It does not appear to count as a legitimate Metacritic review so my prediction of sub-80 is still perfectly intact.
I am so tired of people wanting to water down the game. It is totally backwards to make everything basically do the same thing.
This.
If Murt is too busy, will someone else who has had success with the Quest Editor, please make a video of them making the sample quest I proposed above as a Christmas present?
This is a great request... I know because I've requested it so many times. Unfortunately, we won't see it. Stardock won't do it. They hired a writer. Great! They hired a game designer. Great! Unfortunately, they did not hire a UI person. Apparently, they think their own UI skills are good enough. They're not. I wish they would hire a UI person. I bet Jon Shafer knows some UI people at Firaxis that Brad could ste
If I were a strategy game developer, this would have been one of the first features I put in. It's a complete oversight...EPIC FAIL Stardock!
I've reported this bug so many times my fingertips are bleeding. Stardock doesn't care. Stardock doesn't care cuz half the people playing never notice including half the people at Stardock. Well I notice and I care and good to know that you both care, but Stardock doesn't care.
My quests are worthless. I don't think posting them will help. Here's a basic one I'm trying to do (see below). Maybe you could create a video showing me (and others) how to do it. 1. You meet a cobbler who needs a whetstone to sharpen his tools. Benny the Bandit stole his only whetstone. 2. Find Benny's hideout. Defeat Benny and return with the whetstone. 3. The cobbler makes you a pair of boots for retur
Murt, I'm not having much luck with this wizard. I tried to create 4 quests and none of them work. In addition, I tried to download your sample quests, but when I click the "download" button, the browser just shows me the XML and doesn't download anything. Argh!
You just stick them in a city. Then run to the next city you want to grow. Then run to the next city and so on. And yes, major oversight by Stardock... PATH OF THE GOVERNORS SHOULD RECEIVE 1 EXP/TURN WHILE IN A CITY... FIX IT!
Stardock already had a quest contest once. They are sitting on hundreds of quest ideas. Having said that, they didn't use my quest which was simple and awesome! I should have won the video card, but I digress. I could be into a new contest and I might even try the quest wizard. The game needs another 10-20 easy quests so we're not doing the same quests over and over again.
The game is about all about making hard choices... where do want to spend your money? Rushing buildings? Recruiting heroes? Buying equipment? Trading with the AI? They are not going to change the prices. If you want to make a game of non-difficult choices, you can mod or ask one of the modders for a new game.
Kraxis came after me early on... somehow I managed to hold him off. Once I had a level 20 Relias and 6 level 20 Bards to go with him, everybody wanted to be my ally. Imagine that. Game over. 169 turns. P.S. Note this was even on v1.1 with the Altar heroic / quest nerf. Aha!
Capitar was just really good with horses in general. They had both workhorses and warhorses. They had jumping horses and riding horses. They had small horses and big horses. They had show horses and race horses. You mean you've never heard of the Capitar Derby? Anyway, the horses are fine.
how I use to hide behind the couch and shit my pants when I was a toddler.
And somethings never change... congratz!
I think the random events are happening more than people think. Those quests that show up out of nowhere--those are random events yo!
If this is a bug, FIX IT!
Yes. Way too easy. Imo, there should be a casting time to the Spell of Making, and as soon as you begin to cast it, the ENTIRE world turns against you. The goal than becomes "SURVIVE UNTIL ITS FINALLY CAST" and I think it's a very plausible goal. (Reminds me of protoss plot in starcraft)
Ummm... there is a 10 turn casting time to cast it.
I think if it took you 300+ turns to win, then the Spell of Making is not too easy.
As you were! Nothing to see here.
FIX IT!
