It does look from recent dev journals like we're going to have human looking channellers. I guess there could be possibilities for changing into something greater as you gain essence? Or, failing that, modding. The pre-game customization stuff that MOM and Dominions offers does add a lot in my opinion. Edit: I should mention Stars! I could spend hours just playing with making different races.
Maybe a line of shapecha

I don't know if we've discussed this before. I'm sorry if we have. All pictures we've seen of the Channeler so far is that of some boyish-looking man-child of a human, so I got thinking - Is that all we can play? Ultimately, I'm sure we'll have quite some opportunities to customize our channelers wheter it's in gear, faces, magics or skills. I'

They're still only "hoping" to get the first chapter of SC2 out the door by the end of '09.
Actually, if the rapid progression of information is any indication compared to previous Blizzard games, I'd say that 2010 is a definite possibility.

On the official site, you won't find -too- much information and the official forums is a trollfest of miscommunication and fail. Updates comes in waves, and I think that we can be fairly certain that the next wave of information will come at Blizzcon, August 21-22. Hopefully, they'll unveil the next class. The best way to stay updated is to hang around a secondary forum, such as diablofans.com (which I occasionally frequent) that track
To my knowledge mana != essence and they don't do "pretty much" the same thing. As I understand it mana is the fabric of magic which is easily renewable and the resource used to cast spells. Essence is a portion of the channeler's will, spirit, or whatever that is nonrenewable but can be used in conjunction with mana to increase spell powers. Then it can also be used to imbue heroes, items, or land whether this cost is purely based on es
I don't like the idea of a finite "essence tank" that never comes back. The problem I see is that hoarding your essence is not particularly fun. You don't get to see the settlements, cast the spells, fight the battles, etc. But you pretty much have to do it, because hoarding confwers a massive advantage late in the game. Thus, in order to win, you have to take a strategy that makes 75% of the game boring. This does not seem like a good idea

I still say that this entire "Everything will be hosted by us and when there's problems or you don't have direct access to us, you're screwed, muahahahahaha, ACHTUNG!" -idea is poppycock ! We'll have multiplayer, but not really. And yeah. Still a dealbreaker. I'd like a definite answer to the issues raised before I finally pre-order. I'm almost kinda glad I haven't, yet. You would potentially end up with situations where decisions made in the first 10 turns determine if you won the game. I would propose a simple fix to this problem; have regular essences and core essence. Regular essences would be completely nonrenewable in ad

I wouldn't mind it at all, as long as you don't have to normally fight it off like some goddamn plague. I want my people to be reasonably loyal, with the chance to make them both overzelously devoted or backstabbingly hangable. I think that cities will be a very major thing in Elemental, though. I somewhat doubt there'll be something like this in the game, barring a major event, for that reason. Loosing or gaining a city will probably be a fairly major thing, able to decisively change

It's not a secret that I, Luckmann, master of the towers of azurite, quartz and onyx, defender of the central territories, hero of the hierarchy and cuddler of bears, have a slight preference to the idea of bear mounts. But I'm not sure, mechanics-wise, if we'd want many different races of a single mount species. How'd you keep track of them all? Sure, at first, it wouldn't be much of a problem. But then, suddently, you have four different kinds of bears, four different stacks of a re

These days, people are less easily sucked in by war propoganda. War is unpopular. Everyone thought that WWI was going to be a picnic. In a new major war, many Americans would question the purpose of the war. If they hated it enough, then they would elect someone else during the election. The American people ques

I got a little inactive, due to my short attention span. Been spending my free time at the CivFanatics forums, I suppose. I really should pop in and say thanks for the shirt! Not a huge fan of the little "By: Stardock, www.ElementalGame.com", but who can argue with getting an awesome free shirt?! I really like the material aswell. It's thick, but not too thick. Thick-but-light. Enough to soak up the sweat on summer, and give some warmth when there's a breeze. Thanks! :D
