I for one really like the look of the cloth map. Very Lord of Rings!
Definately. I love how it's entirely computer generated, and looks somewhat like a real thematic cloth/parchment fantasy map.

Everything. Take in mind that this is Alpha and early beta. Far from all functions will be.. functional. But for all intents and purposes, it's been said that absolutely everything that you can do in the watercolor world will be doable in the cloth-map world. So don't worry about that. They just want to see that everything works as it should in the cloth-world, so that people don't get distracted by all the fancy colors. :p

I haven't heard anything about this. It's actually somewhat disheartening to hear that technology and magic isn't going to be intricately interwoven. On the flipside, I wouldn't mind Steampunk-level of technology. For those of you unfamiliar with steampunk fantasy, think a blend of magic and industrial revolution machinery. But the most defining steampunk things, such as the Airships or Railways, should be at the definite end of technology. Absolutely no higher. Likewise, magi

I will not make a list. Mostly because I'd have to make individual comments on everyone and there's people I just don't plain like. My mother always told me that if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. Yes and no. Will all magic require use of Essence?: No. Will some magic be usable without expending Essence?: Yes. I hate to give such adamant answers, since we don't really know for sure, but that's the general gist of what we've been able to assume or piece together. It's highly unlikely that the bulk of 'regular' magic will require essence.
