ah, its with equipment or Armor. I know Kingdoms can make shields, not sure about Empires.
Well I have armour and equipment researched and my current game is a kingdom, but no shields.

I'd like to be able to set up my units before the tactical combat ensues. My characters in front of the expendables is not a good way to start. :)
Firstly the game crashed when a storm giant attacked a spider in the battle at the great tree(2nd part of the quest to gather the pieces of the ancient/magical/whatever it was called forge). Second I had a group of 4 soliders(one tile) and a single solider(one tile) who could not move in the tactical battle with these spiders. They had .7 movement points. As well my mounted knights only had one action they could do. They had 1.5 movement points. If the spiders caused you to not be abl
What tech do you need to make your own shields?
I am unable to move an item from one character to another if it is equipped. As well I am unable to move an item if I have two on one character and one is equipped while the other is not. If the soverein is in a group with a character and you select that character(not the sovereign) the character is highlighted, but the inventory displayed is the sovereigns. In Beta 3B it seems female sovereigns at creation do not have vests, waist skirts, and boots. I think also head choices

You do not need a pioneer? I just clicked it, clicked the wooden hammer and ta-
Select the resource. You will see the build option icon. This button may not click-able if you do not have the resource required for building. Over on the build option icon to know the cost of the building.
Oy vey. Missed that. Thanks, working a-ok now.
Maybe the rat quest is meant to be an in-joke? The game felt a lot more King's Bounty than I was expecting. Whereas FfH2 does the whole dark, dangerous fantasy world thing a lot better.
What's FfH2?
your sovereign starts out with some summon spells. Summon a bear. Then go attack the spider. Or summon a familiar. Until you upgrade to adventure tech 2 you can keep attacking the spiders with your sovereign and friends for exp.
I thought in 3B we would be able to mine/harvest resources even though our city was not touching the resource. Yet the only one I've been able to build a mine on is gold. I researched mining and harvesting, but I am unable to build on another gold mine in my influence area, nor an iron mine and crystal mine. I also am unable to build a lumbar yard. Hard to read the text I put in the picture so in red it says "Red:Unable to mine." In blue it says "Blue:Able to mine." Any ideas?
If you have two monitors, fire up Task Manager and put it on monitor 2 before you play. On the Processes Tab you can see what Elemental is doing CPU and memory wise. (If you have a logitech G15, a keyboard app called LCD Miscellany is useful for that too.) Take a look at Elementals CPU and memory usage, and see how long it takes after you exit the game for the process to actually close. Just because the game isn't visible doesn't mean it's
Game hangs.. more specifically I see the art pan towards the city in the mountains and then stay there indefinately. No crash results from this. I have to manually force a shutdown via the task manager. However.. trying again often gets the game to load.
Yes, same except the game doesn't load. Alas.
i noticed this too.
Happens to me sometimes. Might be 'cause the server's overloaded? Goes away after 10-30 minutes.
I've had this happen to me several times, but I got an error while trying to load. All these errors generated a .zip file with a dump inside, did you check your folders to see if you have this? Do you just hang while loading a save? Does it crash? I think you need to give a bit more detail in order to understand your problem.
Oh I've already posted about my problem with a .zip file and such. Just wondering how many other peopl
With Beta 3A I was unable to load a single saved game. With 3B i've only succesfully loaded one. Anyone else in the same experiencing this?
Running slow can be a sign of memory leaks, especially if you hear lots of disk activity. Program bugs cause it to misplace memory, so it uses disk instead, slooooowly. I think it is pretty normal for Elemental to leave your computer slow for a while after it exits. Only about a minute with me, but my comp is a bit faster and has 3x more memory. Not sure if that is also because of a memory leak or something else, but
Same problem, though if I try to load the game I saved E:WoM crashes. Windows XP Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ 2.2 GHz Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GTX Sound card: Creative SB X-Fi 1 GB Ram 189 GB hard drive
Were you not able to attack? The units in battle, what were they're attack/defense/hitpoints?
I wanted to know if anyone else is experiencing what I am. I'm playing Beta 3B and things still run a little bit slow for me, but for the most part are ok. Beta 3A was much worse in speed like it was for a lot of you. However in Beta 3B if I start a tactical combat the combat runs VERY VERY VERY slowly. And coming out of it so does the game. Or the combat will run fast, then coming back to the game the game runs increadibly slow. Upon exiting the game it takes on average 2 minutes&n

Update #3: Tried to load the quick save again, but it seems its repeatable that at least this particular quicksave will crash the game. Quicksave: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8971392/QuickSave.EleSav Let me know if all this info is too much for one post.
