OP has been whining since 15 minutes after pre-release. Let him leave, we're better off.

Brad, you don't need to have any regrets. God forbid someone show an ounce of pride for the work they have done. And deservedly so. You guys busted your tails and provided a damn fine game to us. Is it perfect? Nope. But you already knew that. And you have been up front with the community on the holes that needed patching. It does not mean it's not unfinished. Elemental may never truly be finished just because of the nature of a gam

I appreciate the review. It's clear, concise, and makes excellent points without all of the flaming and raging that runs rampant. Well done. Elemental is more than just a game. It is a foundation. WoM makes use of that foundation to present to us a very enjoyable game that merely touches upon what Elemental will be in the coming months and years. This does NOT mean that it is unfinished. Merely that we have yet to scratch the surface of what Element
Looks like a case of pulling a statement out of context and then trying to beat Stardock over the head with it. I remember the days when PC Gamer used to have some actual journalistic integrity, but those times are apparently long behind us.
That practice was going on non-stop in the two threads that were locked. People were taking one sentence and using it out of context to try to further their antagonistic approach. It's actually a common practice of

The game is not only playable, it is very enjoyable. If you claim it is "unplayable," then please state your reasons, otherwise you really are not contributing anything except white noise. There is an inherent difference between being "unfinished" and "containing bugs." Elemental, by its complete nature, will never truly be finished. However, the core engine is intact, and the WoM game makes use of that engine and is very entertaining. In my opinion, it i

I saw this posted previously, but could not find it. After patching, you are forced to reconfigure all of your options for Game, Audio, and Video. These should be left in place unless the options change and the file needs to be overwritten. Even then, it would be nice to have this based upon each tab, not Options in their entirety (i.e. Game options changed, thus are reset. Audio and Video are left alone.).
There IS no workaround/fix. If you took even one look at one (or several) of those truly randomly generated maps you would know that they aren't any good at all.
I guess you can walk back the GBOR. It's disappointing. But you can't have the argument regarding multiplayer both ways vs. how finished you state the game currently is: He cites "team exhaustion" because of an early release is why Stardock has not enabled multiplayer yet. Yet you say here the game is finished. How can both be true? What about your comments back when you published the GBOR that companies should delay releases when a game isn't ready for release? O
So you get what we are saying when we say the game is not complete then? If you expect it reviewed with day 0, thats the complete game, not pre day 0. Just saying we should not rip apart people just for having an opinion.
It's beyond "just an opinion." It's become semantical rhetoric, borderline inane. Your response is just more of the same, trying to twist what is said into proving some kind of point. You think you are clever in doing this, but it is

I don't remember having a post hidden, but doesn't that go against my "right" to "demand" a finished game as according to your bill of rights? It literally says: Gamers shall have the right to demand that games be released in a finished state. I know it says that you, the developer, do not have to *listen*, but wouldn't hiding posts would be against this amendment?
You've bee

Elemental is merely the skeleton with just a hint of meat on it (WoM game). The potential of Elemental is mind-numbing, particularly with the talent that is both in Stardock and in the community. Elemental, on its own, still stands very tall. I can't wait to see what is rolled out within the next two years.
