another to add: Every now and then (seems fairly random) it seems like the interaction between the cursor and the map is off. What I mean is that most days placing the mouse directly over the intended target square is just fine. At other times, it seems I need to place the cursor further up the screen to target the intended square. This has been VERY intermittent.

Some things I'd like to see changed/improved. When leveling a city, I'd like it to either zoom to city or even better give an option to examine city before having to choose upgrade option. Pretty annoying to have to memorize by city name what you want each to be good at. Hopefully simple request: place hero levels in a few more spots, especially the trade items screen. Be nice to see level and possibly trade item without have to dump that screen and go i

I like the general idea. I'd like to see a couple features, anytime an army with no champion gets something it would automatically be added from anywhere (no limits.) For champions use, I'd like to see it setup where you have to be in your own territory to use it. I'd also like the need to research it, as long as it is a fairly early tech on the tree, or possibly combined with one of the other early recruiting techs. edit: Hmm, yeah, I think I like <a id="ct

Say you get a champ with air and water, but want fire and/or earth. Let each imbue cast give you the option of learning a new line of spells. If this were used, I'd like to see it as a pretty high cost in mana to help balance, and possibly not even let you pick your line, but just randomly

Just out of curiosity, of you guys who played AoW:SM, how did you feel about AoW2? Both as pertains to this thread and in general.
I'm so glad you posted this. I have meant to start a thread like this about 15 times while in game, and keep forgetting. My tactic has been figure out from city list what I want to get rid of and then get the demolish tool open and just start right-clicking on them all to see their names. Click cancel on the ones to keep. I tried figuring them out by looks but it was even more time consuming than just brute forcing through them. Was able to skip super-obvious ones like mana shrine
Agree with many of the other points. I'd like to add... take a look at this thread, the poster has a couple nice videos to watch with some decent narrative as he plays. https://forums.elementalgame.com/417343 If you can find a cheap copy of Civ2, I'd think that'd be a nice way to get into games like this. Hell, I'd probably still fire that up on occasion if I had it installed.

I think the range distance can use some tweaking as well with ranged attacks. Maybe have more powerful bows also have a bit more range. Having the initials bows not being able to fire the whole battlefield would probably help balance things a bit. Couple different types of ranged items would definitely be welcome as well. Line of sight would be nice, but that may be getting a little too complex, but would surely be cool with some random trees/large rocks or whatever on the battlefield for cov
