Any chance you have firewall software installed that is blocking IE8? Most firewall software would ask first, but that would depend on the settings in the software. Also, there is the "work offline" setting most browsers have, but normally the window that pops up would say something to that effect while attempting to browse, I think. As others have suggested, going with Firefox is probably your best bet. Just giving some tips in case you are like

I have a G5 Laser (wired - no pad, just a decent desk/table) on all 3 computers I use (Work, Home, Laptop.) As far as keyboards go, MS Natural Ergo 4000 for both home and work. (I've been thinking of stocking up on these, in case they ever stop making them, it has been my favorite by far, with 20-25 years of keyboard use.)

Think the first game I played on a computer (some type of Apple II) was Castle Wolfenstein. That was in junior high so was about 1984 or so. F19, wow, I really miss playing that game. Don't think I've had that game installed since just before Win95 came out. That was a really great game for it's day.

I'm thinking my favorite is Fall From Heaven 2 (although unlike MichaelCook above, I am playing the version for Vanilla Civ4). I was expecting to like it before I started playing, but damn, I just could not believe the amount of modding they had actually done to the game. It is unreal.

I'm with pretty much everyone on this. You could leave this art alone, it looks great! Looks so clean, and easy on the eyes.

Brad, how much noise does that computer make while running? Not a measurement of course, just a quick comment about it if you don't mind. I think you also need to make sure you are not on Flash 10 yet, seems only flash 9 works here for uploading. At least that was the case when I last tried uploading an avatar here, haven't tried lately, so I'm probably wrong :)

I'm going to go vote, but I really do not care who wins the Presidency. Blah to both of them! The congressional voting is where the real changes are made anyway. By the way, we really need to do something about getting rid of a 2-party system. All we end up with is a choice between 2 people who most of us would really rather not have in charge. It ends up being a pick between the lesser of two evils.
