You guys are in the wrong galaxy.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRWYi8xuX9M Just the music at the beginning had you in the right mode to play this, one of the best PC games of all time.
Keep up the great work Frogboy! Beta defintely getting better, but a good decision to delay.

Now this is great news. I think some good Karma kicked in for you Frogboy (and second hand to all of us!)
Most likely will never even fire up a single game of multiplayer.

This is a big one and will take a lot of work but it we are requiring that the game handle up to 32 players playing together. To make this work, it also means that games need to be automatically saved (to our servers regardless of whether it’s on a custom modded server or ours) so that stopping and starting games later is easy.
Is it poss
Frogboy, Are you considering any type of experience loss or (x)-turns of debuff when a sovereign lose a battle and is sent to a home city?
I'd say go with a worker unit, but make that unit either able to rejoin a city as population or upgradeable to a different unit type later.
"Our plan is that sovereigns do not die until their final city is taken UNLESS they are attacked (or attack) on land of the opposite arcane alignment (life/death magic influenced land). If you’re sending your sovereign into battle into the Fallen territory (or vice versa) and lose, it’s over but that’s a case of the player making a very deliberate decision/risk assessment. You cannot be assassinated. " <br

Back in MY day, saved games required a friggin' BATTERY in the cart, or worse, a 26 character password you had to re-enter Kids r so spoiled nowadays
Saving to the cloud would indeed be a great option, as long as it is that, an option.
I am 99.99% certain he was talking about multi-player. For any stardock single player game, you have no need to have internet.

Am running the 5870 myself, loving it so far, it had been a long, long time since I had been anywhere near the top of the video card food-chain.
My opinion is DLC should never be about playability. You should not be paying extra for gameplay. They can sell all the DLC they want for customizing looks and the like. But any kind of gameplay advance should either be in the game, a free patch, or else in an expansion.
The ONLY way to get in the beta is to preorder via impulse. Pre-ordering at a store will not get you in. As to the when, there is usually a small window around the opening of the beta, so it usually is not just people already on the pre-order list, but also people who buy within whatever time frame that Stardock will lay out.
Wow, awesome post!
It'll probably make a great netbook replacement. But as an e-reader, it should be called the iFail. Who the hell would want to stare at an LCD screen for hours on end reading. You may as well just read on your current PC with a flatscreen. This thing is basically a large iPod touch with optional 3G. Note, I do have both an iPhone and iPod Touch, so I am not a complete Apple hater.
