I think it is just that it is an update from Frogboy and frogs hop, so "hoppening". Best regards, Steven.
I was thinking a cross between that and Long Duk Dong from Sixteen Candles "What's happenin' hot s

Don't know if I'm missing it, but I'd love to be able to hover over a unit/city and know to which faction it belongs. Or at least when clicking on it, put the faction in as one of the details that is shown. All in all, getting better and better, still getting some crashes here and there on win7 64 bit (on two different computers, one with a GTX260 one with an ATI 5970), but nothing reproducible.

It will definitely cut down on any possible headaches.
I just want to be able to pre-order it...
Not sure if you care or not, but pre-ordering through any retailer will NOT get you into the beta. Only pre-ordering through Stardock directly gives the option of entering the beta.
Quoting Romothecus, reply 6Yeah, but when was that? I don't think the beta is currently open, so recent pre-orders won't get access in an email like that. The email was in response to my pre-order, 30 Sept '09. Your pre-order confirmation email makes no mention of this? That's strange, if there's no serial number in that email I'd expect there to be some mention along the line of "we'll send you another email when beta opens up
Not so with Steamworks game like Civ 5. Not only will Steam and Steamworks have to be installed, it will have to be running in the background just to play, even in offline mode. If Steamworks worked like Windows Live did for Fallout 3 or the way Impulse works I wouldn't have a problem with it. But instead it's invasive and pushes itself on me just to play a single player game. Thus I won't stand for it and I won't ev

As long as you purchased the game directly through Stardock you are good to go... if you ordered through some third-party site (I don't even know if that was available for the limited edition) then you would be out of luck. With Stardock you always have the option of downloading the game. You'll never even need to put the physical disk in your PC if you don't want to.
Let me preface this by stating that I love Stardock and I'm committed to buying Elemental. I don't think it's fair to say that Elemental is the evolution of strategy games. I think it's one direction in which strategy games could go, but I don't think it's the one that they should. I've always favored strategy games with relatively few rules (i.e. games that are relatively predictable) and relatively few roleplaying elements. I
If you don't mind my asking, why don't you like to have your consoles online? I can understand with the 360, you are pretty much forced to buy a $100 wireless adaptor, but the Wii's is built in. I've had mine connected since the beginning, although I admit I don't go online very often.
Only if you want wireless connection. My 360 has been plugged in via CAT5 from the beginning.

I know when I tried this method, it didn't work for Dragon Age origins when the two machines didn't have the same operating system. I'm not sure if that will be the case here, but keep it in mind if something goes wrong.
That 2K response just as easily applies to any number of options. If game updating and mod handling was their primary concern, there were plenty of other options that wouldn't have required bundling a third party store with the game.
Agreed, if it just bundled Steamworks, which in turn didn't require an install of Steam, I doubt many of us would have a problem. It is most definitely the tying together of Steamworks a
Quoting Nick-Danger, reply 232 I want the old days where I'd start up a game, consult with my friends (voice program, IM, forum, etc.), one hosts and the others connect, and voila! -- we're playing. No third party. And updating being as simple as clicking on 'update' when firing up the game and it checks automatically, or perhaps I visit the game's site or similar repository and DL the patch and apply it myself. <b
