Haven't played EL, but from watching the vids... graphics look gorgeous, but yeah some things appear a bit unclear on the map... those anomalies look kinda hard to spot. I guess if you know what you're looking for it might be different.
Actually you have it exactly right. The anomalies are really the only thing hard to spot. Some are simple, others aren't. In the zoomed out map mode, it's also sometimes e
Are you guys speaking from the Das video's or the actual game, because in the game I find the map really clean and quite easy to navigate. I would call the maps in warlock 2 and AOW3 somewhat cluttered but not WOM's.
For me: EL: Speaking from first hand experience, lot of it! WoM: I'm speaking from watching Das's videos. abob, I agree with that about the map. It's also one of my few peeves about Endless Legend. While beautiful, it is just too damn hard to see exactly what is going on without quite a bit of effort. Should be easier to glance and gather info.
Excellent FAQ Frogboy! Keep up the good work, you just may make something of yourself one day! ;)
Here is the method I got to work on all 3 of my computers. 1. Verify Cache. 2. If that works, stop. 3. If not, launch game. 4. Quit game. 5. Verify cache again. (At this point all 3 of my computers kicked an error saying one bad file, and did the update.) Hope this helps someone else.

At any time I want to check on previous posts I simply go to my recent posts, etc. However, just so's I can have a bitch [thus far I haven't had one this week] and support the cause, I don't like the auto-subscribe feature, either ...nor do I need it. Looking phenomenal!
You could always try to install it first and let it overwrite the current install. That should likely give you back the "uninstall" via windows.
Unsubscribe is broken. It lets you unsubscribe and takes it from the subscribe list. It doesn't however clear the notification (i.e. the number of posts that have new updates) Once you go back into the post, you see that you are still subscribed, even though it is no longer listed in your "subscribed threads" list. edit: Did check to make sure auto-subscribe is still off and it is.
Makes me wonder if it might be possible to give the city a hidden "health bar" that fully regenerated every turn. The state of the health bar either determined the available defenders or the quality of those defenders, perhaps?
Great ideas, either would be pretty nice features to have.
For the record, this isn't the last patch. A while back Brad confirmed that time/money for 2.0 got approved.
The problem I have is that because there is limited (easy) XP for heroes, without sharing, there is rarely enough XP available for more than 2 heroes. I have tried not clearing lairs so they keep spawning, and this works to an extent, but eventually other factions come through and clear them. To me, the problem is not the champion XP split, but the lack of xp available later in the game.
I think a fix
Uploaded 1.7a, no changes except patch updates.
Meaning updated to work with 1.7? And I assume still not working correctly with latest DLC? Either way, thanks for keeping up on this Heavenfall. Appreciate all your work!
You can't just move over the square, you have to specifically target the square. Meaning if auto-pathing takes you over it, it will not trigger the square.
Hopefully they fix the problems that Windows 7 has with the Search tool.
Absolutely, that is about the only thing I don't like about Windows 7. To stay on topic, somewhat, I am running Win8.1 and loving it.... Only because of Start8!! Well, and Fences as well, but without Start8 I'd have gone back to Windows 7.
"Just admiring the shape of your skull." Love! Love! that movie.
For sure, definitely have to be careful.
I wonder if this can be safely used to kill the shell32.dll file so that it can be replaced... Sure, you're not SUPPOSED to mess with it, but those icons sure are ugly! [e digicons][/e] The only luck I've had with replacing that particular file is by booting into my Linux installation, mounting my Windows drive, and replacing the file from there. That's less than ideal, though. [/

I've always thought it was a by-product of simultaneous turns. Monster goes to attack at same time AI is moving, swing and a miss! Same with AI vs AI battles. Any code to prevent this?

Looks pretty awesome. Definitely made my Steam wishlist. I "need" to start playing some of these games I already have though. The backlog is getting horrific.
