What about LAN games? I know I sold probably three or four copies of Demigod by installing it on friends' computers for a game night (after which they bought it, of course).
I'm in the same boat... still worrying and the extremely limited multiplayer was very painful. I'm praying that PBEM and HOTSEAT are still being considered, but LAN would be important in my book too. &nbs

This is a good idea... someone buy Ynglaur a cookie! Seriously great idea.
I hope we see some type of weather system added... developing the weather system to include seasons would be more difficult, but should still be possible. In any case I hope we do see a weather system
I recognized another camp was added since my last posting. I still vote for Camp_3... with Camp_1 as a secondary. I see several ongoing discussions which should probably be moved into their own topics since it would make it easier for Stardock to count the actual votes of the community.
Stardock actually tried to develop the sequel for MoM, but unfortunately I've read Atari caused a massive legal mess for Stardock when attempting to purchase the rights. Stardock reportedly placed a financial offer of 6 digits, yet the Atari lawyers screwed it up with legal complications. As a result the only company who can legal provide a sequel of MoM is Atari at this time. Unfortunately Atari currently doesn't have a
Here is a question my friends and I have: One of the biggest downfalls in Heroes of Might & Magic is that one "General" can hold/lead as many troops as he wants. This leads to the "stack of death" syndrome; everyone has one main hero that carries around 90% of his troops, and the other generals (if they even bother to buy more than one) do nothing but sit in the castle and/or are errend boys, transporting troops or weekly treasure
{{ Reserved for Future Posting }} IMPROVED RESOURCES: etc., etc.,
This topic is to provide Stardock with suggestions for resources and creative ways each resource can be used. Each Resource should have at least two uses which increases its value and the games strategic depth. Ideally I hope we also have the option to add/change/remove resources via modding tools. Any resource can be traded... so I did not include this since it's obvious. <span style="font-size: small; color: #800000; font-family: book antiqua, palati
Just got out of a meeting talking this over. I think we're getting closer to a really fun, yet still involved economic system.
Thanks for the update and also the improved CAMP_3 model. CAMP_3 sounds definitely better... one suggestion is providing an ON/OFF/PRIORITY setting as mentioned by another member. The ON setting is exactly what's described with
Frogboy and Stardock developers... It seems the majority of the community favors the Camp_1 "Sophisticated" decision and most likely because it provides the greatest game depth. I'm also in favor of the Camp_1 decision and greatly approve of the vast amount of resources. Now the next topic of
NTJedi, I've read those discussions. I perhaps should have been more explicit in saying that I do not believe those are really problems.
I never said they were problems... who said they were problems?? These are concerns because two are fantasy elements which are not being included and one is a game statistic with conflicts.
I'm not seeing what's wrong with Elemental only having two races (and six civs/factions per race).
This has already been discussed deeply on the forum, but I'll provide you a quick summary. The difference is because unique races will have NATURAL traits, attacks, abilities, resistances(even 100% immunities), etc., etc., where as with all humans the variation is very limited. So try and imag
Hopefully they keep lots of the great features which made MoM so great, in this game as well.
From your forum post to Frogboys ears... I hope you are right. I'm a little worried about how training plays way too major of a role determining hitpoints, how players can only play human races, and what appears to be a land only realm(No Myrror, Underwater, etc.,). <
Yes, with Elemental having such massive size maps hopefully we'll have a large list of optional opponents.
Looking Good... even Brock Sampson would be pleased.
Denryu ... something which may bring you some hope is if someone created a race where the vast majority of units should be immune to routing the majority of others would have a strong resistance to routing. A race of undead comes to mind, but unavailable in the base version of the game so you'll hav
Re 'community,' I am not persuaded that larger all by itself means better, and I suspect it tends to be as much or more of a problem as a benefit. Exactly what problems exist from a larger forum community as compared with a smaller forum

I'm gonna give it a try, but I'm not sure I'll end up as happy as Mikey did. The larger community means you'll have your questions more likely answered even 4 years from now. Due to
what about the age-old debate over scarce dev resources--time spent on multiplayer mechanics is time not spent on 'core' parts of the game. And then there's the whole business of worrying about a game getting 'dumbed down' so that it doesn't generate too much grief from a horde of short-attention-span clickaholics. I'm all for Stardock experimenting with TBS multiplayer via the Elemental project, but I hope they'll s

One 1 side you are able to prepare ahead of time to make the expansion come easier and flow with the game better. On the other side, it means you achnoledge something that should be in the main original game but are neglectling to deliver it. Broodwars is considered to be
Quoting CapnWinky, reply 3 I agree with NT. I would have liked the variation. All human races just seem boring...especially in a fantasy setting. Probably my only complaint thus far. Not a hater though...we can just mod them in. well, the way I feel about it is I can't say the races are boring until I've actually seen them. Just because some of them would be short or have pointed ears
