I didn't forbid second guessing if you (or me) failed your first try. Nothing but forum rules and common sense prevents you from posting every five minutes saying "getdate(); (gettime();+5)"
Well allowing massive repeated guessing effectively takes away the victory from an individual which has guessed once who would have guessed closer to the actual release date. With allowing only one guess even a forum

Just one question: Typically I play LAN games with my brothers and my son(15) at my brothers house which ranges anywhere from 3 to 7 players. Due to the location the internet access is very unstable with frequent drops. The question: Will we be able to play Elemental as a LAN game on the computers?
Blizzard have said that they'll implement L.A.N. through Battle.net 2.0 somehow. If Blizzard means those playing LAN must connect thru an ISP which then connects to the Battle.net 2.0 servers then this is bad... as explained within my reply #42.
Forcing you to go through battle.net (which is free) should not be a big deal Yup. Even when I played SC at LAN parties years ago, we always just used battlenet. Unless you don't have internet at home (in which case it's unlikely you'll be the host of a LAN party anyway), this won't have that much impact on you.
And great music too "Windows should use less RAM" is a moot (I learnt a new word ) argument. First, is doesn't 'use' that much, and the word "use" is kind of trivial here, it can mean many things. Most things in Windows will happily give away their RAM usage as soon as you start up a game or such. Recent versions only use a couple hundred MBs of RAM, and you can lower that if you strip down your Windows install. The

Considering the game will have battles at different fort type structures (aka=sieges), which frequently do last multiple days... I see no reason why battles on the map must be one day only. Also take into consideration the enormous 64_bit maps where armies will be massively larger by middle and late game. Also having a method for battles taking multiple days(aka=turns) opens more gameplay strategies such as assassinations between turns on enemy command

Multi-Layered... let's take even a deeper look at possible strategic elements if the battlefield could even be more multi-layered. I'm talking about not only ground units, but flying units and burrowing units. The amount of strategic options would triple if a group of flying units could exist on the battlefield above a group of ground units and burrowing units under the ground units or slightly in front. There could be weapons and spells specific fo
