This is on a lot smaller budget and scale than FE, but they deserve a chance and I have supported them. Their goal is $25 000. I am becoming a kickstarter addict :) If only it was a bit easier to search on the kickstarter page. Difficult to get an overview over good strategy games there.

I have seen this issue on my fathers computer (I play a bit when me and the kids go to my parents on sundays). Both beta 3 and beta 4. I dont have the specs of that computer now. Its a new Samsung laptop. This does not make the game crash, so I guess there is no debug.err file??
There are bugs, if not it would not be a BETA. I will whine if they persist in the release version. Now its far too early.. chill out
I have a daughter who was crying pretty much a full year from birth. Sleep deprivation sucked all creativity and energy from me. I could do routine tasks, but I was more or less like a zombie (looked like one too, pale and thin). You can get used to having little sleep, but there is a price to pay. Your performance will diminish...
According to Steam I have 155 hours of joy from this game. I got my moneys worth...
[quote who="harneloot" reply="31" id="3209926"]+1 OP I like all the weak, medium and strong monsters around to keep me interested & honest, but those epic/deadly monsters need a setting that makes them stay put unless attacked, or perhaps stay put until a particular technology is reached, building (wonder) is built, or spell is cast. Played 3 different games over the weekend and each one was ruined at some point (one after MANY hours of enjoyable gaming) by so
This is not bandits on lairs or anything. On open land.
I have only played two games of the new beta. During those two games I have three times killed a bandit stack only to fin an Umberdroth beneath it. Is this extreme bad luck, or is there a new pet in town??
and now would be a good time to announce Umbers return....
Large methinks. Pretty please make a slider for monster aggresiveness :d The only thing that could ruin this game for me on the final few yards before release would be a tamer world. I assume the load save game crash bug and that stuff will be fixed as well :)
As I have said all over the forums. I want more wild stuff and randomness. I dont expect to win when I start a game (I set games to be difficult for me to beat). I want peril for my units, pioneers, outpost and cities. And if the danger is not real (If I dont get some realestate stole by monsters once in a while), there is no point.
If the tile displays resources then you should be able to settle. Can you see the 4/2/0 or whatever the tile yields?
Without the wandering monsters, this game would be static and rather hollow for me. The issue is rather how to avoid the strong monsters from triggering their movement too soon. That should not be too difficult (for the Frog to reprogram). People seem to want huge changes to the game, instead of going to the core of the issue here. The core is that the AI settle near tough monsters and trigger them. Then they go on a rampage way too early. I also think its strange that there are compl
I had an Iphone once. 3GS I think it was called. Once the IOS was updated beyond 4.0 the phone just gave up. Would not connect to my laptop and restarted during phone conversations. One day it restarted and went back to factory settings without asking me. Lost a lot of pics (since I could not connect to laptop). I got a Samsung and have not looked back.
Make the AI NOT settle near the big monsters to trigger them then, or change the trigger. Dont stop wandering monsters. We are supposed to be in peril. This is not a game where the monsters are lined up and waiting for you to take them one at a time (I hope)
My biggest worry is that the world is getting tame. I want to be beaten down if I overexpand. I dont want to just build a building (on the outpost) and be protected from all peril. I wish there were a slider for moster dangerousness or something like that. I want monsters to take undefended cities sometimes.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8523102/joa.EleSav This game was started in version 0.95 and the game ran fine when I played. Saved the game yesterday. When I try to load and play it crashes first time I hit End Turn (have tried twice). I have had almost no stability problems in any beta version before.
If we got a couple of military units at the start, then there would be more stuff to do and consider.
Master of Orion II, but not very often.

Please dont tame the beasts too much. I want danger to my outposts and units. Pretty please with sugar on top...!
I have played about an hour and a half. The city building is much improved though the most common bugs persists. 1. Army gets stuck running on a tile. Could not take end turn until I cancelled the movement path 2. Action bar disappear during battle 3. I twice attacked bandits only to find Umberdroths beneath. Nasty surprise there 4. One of my battles suddenly went into slooow motion All these were in Beta 3, and have not been addressed.</
I am 40 years old and have had computers for the last 20. I have never had a HDD failure. The only thing failing me was a usb stick that would not load (first time I used it, was empty). I guess I am just lucky. I have used Dell, Compaq (crappy computer, but HDD worked), Asus and IBM - desktop and laptops).
Does the upgrade of the outposts cost anything?
