I am watching the long video, and I do hope that the world is still dangerous.... Part of the fun (for me) is to survive and expand at peril.

I am a bit afraid of the monsters less likely to attack stuff. I want the world to be dangerous, but it seems like the risk of building new cities and outposts has diminished based on the changelog. Only real gaming will tell :d I still hope for a gameplay setting for this, so that I can turn monster aggressiveness up to max.
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/902505202/castle-story?ref=thanks I am gonna support Castle Story as well.
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/659943965/planetary-annihilation-a-next-generation-rts For those who remember Total Annihilation, this is a must on Kickstarter :) I am in :d My kickstarter list so far: warbarons.com (funded) Defense Grid 2 (funded, but only at lowest level) Empires of Scorcery (in progress) P
HoMM6 is shallow compared to FE. FE has a lot more RPG elements and even units in the wild can gain experience. You just have to try it :d
Audio books is the thing for me. While driving or training. :d
I stopped playing Skyrim (a good game) because I got hooked on the beta of FE. Its fun to me :d
This has been discussed many times. The Frog claim it is no so, but there was a bug which gave this impression. Lets see how it turns out in Beta 4 in two weeks.
I backed them with $15. All respect to those who try :d My other backing at the moment is for Defense Grid 2. Previously I have backed Warbarons.com which is a great webbrowser strategy game based on the Warlords series.
If you support it on kickstarter you get a steam key for the first Defense Grid game.
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/hiddenpath/defense-grid-2 Defense Grid is my favourite tower defense game ever, and I have commited my 15 bucks. Please join in :d
Manualen blir nok skrevet rett før spillet lanseres, for å få med alle endringer og all funksjonalitet. :d
FE is shaping up to be a good game. Lets focus on that :D
What programming language are you using? It sounds too me that you need a more strict (confined) concept for the game. Start small with simulating just two resources and see where it gets you. I think you would save a lot of trouble if you could write down how the game would work in detail. Then you could find problems before you program yourself into a corner. I have a game concept in my mind that is pretty detailed, but I havent found the effort within me to actually c
Legend of Grimrock is 50% off at gog.com
I will test the shift key next time. I have also found that suggestion in a forum
I cannot move fleets anymore in this game. I click the fleet, right click on destination and nothn happens. Tried to restart and create new game twice. No ship will move an inch...
There is no need for this kind of functionality in my opinion. Not that many cities in a game.
Start with a lets play and then we talk coop. :)
As in multiplayer? I need to learn the game first :) It does sound cool, if we can manage in VERY different timezones. I am in Norway.
I havent tried it yet, and it takes a while to see the quality of AI in such a game.
@seanw3 - Are you doing a lets play of this game? I caved and bought it. Warlock, has lost my interest fast (bad AI being the main problem).
If they use 1% of the budget on AI this time, then we might actually have a game :d
The greatest trick the devil ever pulled, was convincing the world he doesnt exist. You forgot a villain!
The part of Majesty that influences me is the AI of the heroes. In my game you get different units that you nurture into badasses. The player can control which monsters to attack (or areas to search), unit positioning and such but not the actual battle. When the soldiers return with their loot (they get some of the money, the player get some), they decide what to spend the money on. So if you get a smithy with new shiny swords, then its an option for the soldier to spend money o
