I don't like messing with core files. But yeah I suppose you could seperate out. IF you are simply ADDing as the title says, you can have your own xml file or files in your mods folder.

I agree that whatever way is by design the tooltips should reflect that.

I uh can't get it to work. I thought I told it the correct path. But now when I double click it, something loads but I don't see crap. Help? Yes, I did download and install the Java Runtime.
Can it be done? Balance swinging too far towards less cities How might these changes affect the AI, is there anything that can/needs to be done for it to take advantage of the change. Can I justify it logically i.e. "Shards provide food?" Would anyone else enjoy this, or be annoyed by this .... (I'll probably do it regardless)
I believe that it can in fact be done with regards to city lev
I called the AI pioneer spamming whores as a generalization and this is not so. There's at least one AI type "Expansionist" probably where this is the case. Not all the AI get this, they get some traits randomly to make them interesting/different from game to game. I get that. Some play the exact opposite "Isolationist" trait I believe is the case. Anyways. The number of crappy starts the AI gets in comparison is under realized I
Congratulations Stardock on a good review. Well done. Hopefully more people will get word and buy it. If they weren't already in the know. Or decide to give it a chance if they wrote off buying the first one. [e digicons][/e]
Yes, I suck at formatting. Deal with it.
But you're really darn good at providing solutions for the bugs where as I'd be lucky to catch it.
PS when will there be a new expansion pack for Galactic Civilizations?
A.) I'd like to have the Fallen Enchantress take over space.. B.) I think the Drengin and at least the Altarians should crash land in a wild land and end up as playable races. [e digicons]|-)[/e]
Xia is spot on and trying to help. There are defenders (militia groups) now. There wasn't always in some early beta. We could even point to a thread where Brad talks about the defenders being basic police like forcce and not the absolute best equipped. Which I bring up because it would be further proof if you don't believe us on the defenders.
Some badass spiders from D&D would be cool like sword spiders and wraith/phase spiders.

I for one would like to see more choices in magic weapons as well. I don't think it fair that there was only either fire or water at a tier for weapons AND there wasn't a 1hand and 2hand version. Some people may not want to give up their shields. Magic weapons seems all over . Anyways thats my take on it from the vanilla. Sorry if it's a couple days late Good luck with the mod.
Yeah, it's a common misconception that "Easy" is easy. While they may tout they've yet to crank up the pain for the advanced players. But to a new player. "Easy" can be a wake up call. I felt that way till I played more than several games. Also the slave scout is probably good idea so you could make them fast and send them out in all kinds of directions uncovering the map much more faster.. Good luck and have fun [e digicons][/e
My ideal fortress is would be something like 3,4 or 5 Grain with 4 Materials and 2 essence or more. Which is usually like a forest near river tiles and a resource or two nearby. Rare. But it happens. Towns I usually make out of anything. I usually have at least one of my Conclave high grain if I can. If you do 3 or 2 grain you'll have much harder time getting to level 3 and 4 city. Non-ideal. I'll u
I believe if you are "logged in" you can just hit Ctrl + Tab at the title screen and you'll get a menu for chat / check your achivements. If not, it may prompt for your Stardock account info.
There's a few included with the game. Other than that, just heard about a couple folks looking into it.
The vanilla game as it were, and in betas, I've only seen marginal settleable spots where you'd think some ancient capital would be well worth it. I was expecting a 4 or 5 somewhere instead I got a 2 or 3. So kind of meh really. I'd like to see a 4/4/4 or all 5's either way I'd kill for that. But anything with a 3 in it you can have. ;P
Wow! Super Awesome. Just like the manual. I think I have to say it again. That manual is awesome. So is the Spell Reference. That is raising the bar on what comes with games. You guys get a 10/10. Customer is very satisfied. In fact exceeds the ideal of what customer expects. Well done.
Another high end computer with updated drivers. The obvious thing is that you have updated drivers. Per this thread: https://forums.elementalgame.com/415301
3) If you can't get the game to run at all (vs in-game bugs/feedback), you can send an email to . Please use the forums for general bug reports and feedback, not the support em
Did I read somewhere here or was it one of Brad's videos before release... Anyways, I believe the statement was to the effect of reviewers being swamped.

I'd like to give cities. To a weaker ally. I play with 6 or more factions on medium/large maps. Also if you could gift units to a weaker ally that would be a plus. I hate when a weak ally begs for help and all I can do is give them stuff and hope they don't surrender. I have declared war myself and beat back the guy on my own front, but he was still powerful enough my ally couldn't take back a city. If I did, it went under my rule for good. *s
