So what happens if you assign an AI the same team # as you ? You're on the same team... wooohoo. Does that actually mean anything like other games ? No.... No shared map revealing.. no shared techs.. no shared resources.. I would like to have this changed so that teaming up with an AI or two can have fun challenges. Like a true kingdom vs empires map.
Supreme Shogun
I disagree with the swordmen being Op. Sword just seem weak. The bows I agere with in that they are a bit UP. Especially when targets can DODGE arrow shots. Suggestion to fix is remove maybe 2 to 3 points of the initiative penalty and see how that goes. Slightly more useful and still not machine gunners..
I play with events at default cause I would prefer not to get him and the plague every single game.. But it seems like it if I do not. I usually shove him in a developing city for the unrest boost.
Dear God No. Make it Stop!! [e digicons]8C[/e] LoL !!!
IMO No it shouldnt require questing. This is more of a builder's way to win. There's already a way to win by quest.
I believe it is Legacy of Serrane if you play with custom factions. It is nice.
I think each city should at minimum have either free support for 2 troops or +2 to +3 gold income for the purpose of wages. The basic militias don't keep the really nasties out and you have to defend your cities. Also, I think the first two heroes (or even three? Maybe all since the hero mechanic has been improved) should not cost wages. Bocco the idiot comes out as often as the plague and its just a hammer to the early game econ. But h
I agree that summons need to be made more viable. They're just crap. To think they take up good choices on the level ups is bad. If they were improved that would be ok. But they need help. Also before people get riled up about boatloads of summons... there's ways to keep things in check. (Like mana costs or no more than x per shard or summoner picks also ease the caps ). Being able to have more than 1 summons is not a bad thing.
Try a pre-made map ? I don't have the answers. But it may get you playing something decent.
I would also like to see city defenders have dual class. They can start out as archers and then close as melee when the time is right. This would increase defense of the city and not make the defenders so one dimensional either or. Also this is the first game I can recall that you have to defend OUTSIDE your keep or castle or city walls....what's up with dat? HOMM has it, AOW has it (in spades cause you get 4 w
The question is more important in regards to your first city. If you have quite a number of towns, low grain and high producing centers is argeeable. It's harder for a new player to figure, but also keep in mind how many enchants you want to put on each city. Will it be a unit producing fortress? Will it be a high research conclave? Secondly do you have enchants you want? Typically I do not. I may have fire or earth one, but usually
I agree the mage doesn't handle all the spellcasting options on it's own very well. They could make it so the mage class handles fire, ice and death spells, then make an earth, air and life "druid" class. Even split the summoner into it's own class. You'd have 3 physical classes, 3 magic classes, and commanders, maybe even throw in a bard. I'd pay money for all that.
^ This.
Those two nations got cut from Fallen Enchantress. More time was spent making each kingdom/empire unique. This is why. The shells were left in and players can make their own custom sovereigns. At some point I imagine they'll appear in an expansion or dlc.
Bears are ok in my opinion.
Portrait. Well have you tried putting your graphics into games gfx folder if the mods/gfx didn't work ? Not sure how to answer other two.
Great make the game harder. I hate you. Finally get a damn decent heal. Regen is crap. What I can say to you besides that is your opinion, is Don't use it.
I've lost a town to some troll army. So I disagree about that militia statement. Sure they keep wolves at bay, but you're not invincible.
I said this before and got hammered. Lol. Anyways I still agree. It should either get moved farther back, cost more or both.
But is it really dead? Even if the GUI says killed. You still have them next round ? like gimped up in some city needing x number of seasons to recover.. killed raises some eyeballs. maybe it should just say defeated.
I've not seen enough bonus to warrant taking administration. Nor do I park them and leave them there if there's not other things to take care of. Wandering pests. Enemys, etc.. I love the idea about administrators getting xp for administering.
I think the upgrade options are not fine. To me I have not seen it be worth the time and effort to build them or research something based on upgrades. Upgrades have had no effect on my choices to research. I will say other bugs, bother me with the game. One is the fact of monsters ignoring other AI scouts/pioneers/outposts/city. Outpost need to mean something, rather than just spam for resources.
I have ATI 5850 and experiencing the exact same issue.
Ahhh so that's why. Suddenly I can't see crap again. Nasty bug rears its evil head.
Thanks for the tip. I share the sentiments about Steam. Hate it, is the short version. Can't stand that it has to run even playing games. Wouldn't be so bad if I had to just deal with it to download and forget it.. but no it's setup that way at the start at least.
I am very happy to see this project continue. I am not happy about steam. I hate it. I detest it. I know I'm in the minority. I still have the right to voice my opinions about it. I'll also swear and call you names like I did Firaxis for doing this with Civ 5 (but this won't go farther than my computer room). Just give me another way to download without steam please.
