I agree with Sweatyboatman on this.
I really like the idea Firefly, might make champions more fun flavour wise, and less generic. Quoting t1it, reply 2I'm not sure anymore if these kind of suggestions will be in (release). Modders will take care of that though:) Its really sad to hear people say stuff like this, I really want the vanilla/core game to function, a game should not only be amusing if you plop on some mod on it, it will go bad, trust me.<br
I thought it common practice to disable anti-virus b/c stuff like that may happen. No reason it can't be turned back on after the game is done updating.
I have. But I never put my finger on why/what till now. Thanks.
Here are some possible trait bonuses: Double road movement (to better defend a large empire) Double HP for garrison units (these units are currently irrelevant against tough enemies except as temporary meatshields - might as well improve that function) Double city defensive bonuses (so double the defending dodge boosts, double damage for Wall of Fire, etc.) Spend 5 influence to halt a monster in your territory for 1 turn
LoL. Good writeup and catch.
which means inflated xp values that people didn't earn and champs/ Sovs are way higher level than they should be ?
I would like to change my vote from fair to good . Based on new information. Like A) Champions vs Units are getting addressed already. Amazing what balance fixes can really do. B.) Not all sov creation choices are hot and maybe expecting too much in regards to a summoner type playstyle. I see it as your loss (Stardock) but I can't force it on you. When you consider that bandit lord is of marginal help
would incresing the radii by 1 help out or would it implode the system ?
I stand corrected, thank you. Nice to see these changes.
Inland lighthouse jokes aside, that's my point. Should be something more powerful looking. Maybe I did go off on a wild tangent with real world culture, each faction may not need their own version. Vigor. Power. A symbol that the nation is great. Re SoL: Even though the Statue of Liberty was a gift, it was nonetheless accepted and became a powerful symbol of the United States. My purpose wasn't for culture or CIV references.
Just for reference, how does one get that spell ?
I am late to the post, obviously. So I won't leave lengthy comment. I am very appreciative to changes made in this regard.
1. No comment. 2. Also can cause a re-distribution of certain advantages that a player does not want to happen in the case of who gets what extra grain and materials. 3. Yes. I thought it was capped at 4. Not sure how wildlands quest stack since you get it by stepping on a tile inside one. 4. Death Stacks of Champions shouldn't be the way to go. Perhaps an entry in the Hiergamanon on the matter. Not everyone has been around a long time
Yep, because of the low damage without Path of the Mage and Evoker combat spells are useless for the other paths. That is the reason why support spells like Slow, Haste, Heal, ... should be powerful.
And why there should be more than one way to dispel / get rid of them. No one likes to be shrunk/blinded/slowed the whole battle.
Just saw the anit-kiting balances. Nice work!
I may not have agreed with what was done to the regen spell. But yes, these improvements are welcome. Nice Balance fixes.
If only it were a bug, instead of the intended redesign of the spell.
Exactly. It was too low to be useful as intended and did not scale well either. Instead why not work on issues of kiting? Like make certain monsters have more spell resist. So big xp giving monsters aren't hobbling along at 1 move. Or give some a ranged ability with varying cooldowns. Like forcing the issue of closing th
Why is it human only? Do other AI not choose traits when making units? Can't we just increase it's importance so it values that more and uses it ?
Just for giggles I made a spell using "Call of the Wild" as a template, changed out the word "Wolf" with "Umberdroth" . Also put in an assasin demon and death demon replacing the other animals. Or was it Fell Dragon? [e digicons]O:)[/e] Guess you can put in InternalNames from the CoreMonsterUnitTypes.xml Probably not the first to discover this, but hey it kept me amused for a while.
The game is really missing traits that MoM had. First Strike. Flying. Trample. also having certain weapons be slightly more effective vs. those types also mounted and heroes. FWIW, we don't have a summon hero or champion spell either. I don't really have a problem with the traits as they are now. Never thought about finesses/brute in that way since it hard to imagine a direct impact. Guess you could make it so they're mutually ex

I hear ya, ol' buddy. Partly why I liked your mod. [e digicons]:)[/e] I can also say that I can understand the reason for the fix. It should be a bit unrealistic to get by with a low tax rate all the time. If I lucked out, I could get by finding one of 'them' heroes with merchant / governor path and plug the holes in my early game budget. All the while researching pretty dang effectively. So if nothing else it's to sa
I think all the new spells being cast by monsters are great, but they also really highlight two issues: Many of the spells need a time limit Spells like blindness should be limited to several turns of combat, much like curse already is; Spells like slow and haste should go back to being slightly OP, but again with a turn limit; in my 0.981 game, so far I have cast haste a dozen times and have only
The game truly is great. It is awesome enough that I've devoted a lot (!!) of time to making the quest wizard. This is a game I plan on playing for a long time (well, that and it's expansions and sequels).
I'll buy you a beer for that. Well how about a pitcher!
