I've been hit by numerous ones, and have beaten back most of them, but I'm currently "hosting" the wandering heroes and a province which contains the results of a troll attack, and two barbarian hordes! I think a lot of that depends on the scales you took, specifically the order/turmoil scale. I've lost one territory to v

I have it on good authority that the Eagle Kings prefer Peanutbutter M&Ms, as they don't get too hard to chew on the frigid mountain tops. I don't want to dogpile on Top, but I also find it a good rule of thumb to immediately submit my new turn if I was the final one to submit the last one. I think our diplomacy issues this game stem from not explicitly defining any at the creation of the thread/game. That's something we'll definitly do next time :) <p
Quoting Souls-Stream, reply 164 Every aspect of the game, not talking about this big magical complaint, is great and is a true rival to MoM, I played MoM enough and still play it too. MoM has still a couple features that FE won't have but FE has a lot of strenght that you don't see in MoM. Can you name me 3? One is graphics, obviously (2010/11 game vs. a 1995 game); can you name me 2 more?
<

Apologies if this has been covered and I missed it (admittedly, I only skimmed the thread): Will shards play more more significant role in regards to spell power compared to WoM, where they seem to only have a minimal impact. After reading through the .pdf, it seems that shards will play a more important role, though perhaps not the role I had hoped.

A message from the Eagle Kings of Caelum: The capital of Arcoscephale has fallen, and the last of its faithful have been put to the sword. The Eagle Kings of Mount Caelum are not resting on their laurels. Emisarries have been sent to former allies and enemies alike; the coming months will see a shift in the ruling orders. The forges of Caelum are turning out weapons and armours that shine with arcane power. The armies

Whats up with-that? Does that mean if a mage casts that spell, it is effectively fatigued for (5,000 divided by 100) 50 turns? Appreciate help.
Those high fatigue spells are really designed to make use of communions or sabbaths (the blood-magic

Hey folks, I'm letting everyone in my games know that I'm going to be camping one month from now, on August 20th, for a week. If I haven't been wiped out in the next month, I'll locate a sub for the game.

Ah, it's a fond relic of my youth. Doing some house cleaning today, I came across an old 6-in-1 game disk in which Corncob was the title game. Pity it was too damaged to run.

To pyramid on Kamamura and Emerson, it should be noted that while horror marks and curses are permanent, neither one is a game breaker. A Curse can't be cured, but the only effect a curse has is to increase the chance of developing an affliction when wounded. There are numerous items and spells that already reduce affliction chance (thereby countering the curse) and a half-dozen (or slightly more) ways to cure afflictions once they're suffered. It's easily countered, and i
Wow, seriously? All I remember is horror (though not as much as my Star Control III horror, of course - what is it with the 3s?). Maybe I should give it a look again sometime, I might have the original packaging even.
Using the unofficial patches, you get a game that is much better balanced, more stable, and more enjoyable. I wouldn't call it perfect, but it suddenly became fun to play with friends.

The list's lack of Stars! or Space Empires 3/4, (great games all of them) and inclusion of Alpha Centauri (a great game, but hardly a 4x in the sense of the other 4), kind of ruins any credibility the list and its author had in my eyes :) It isn't as if there have only been 4 good 4x titles, and he had to seriously reach to fill that 5th slot. So I have to assume that either emotions played a very big role, or the author has had a more limited 4x experience than such a list mi

I enjoy a "healthy dose" of sci-fi shows, but I have to say that Falling Skies in at the bottom of my watch list. If I had to cut back, I would drop Falling Skies without a second thought. I just can't invest in the characters, the world, or the aliens. I can't pin down the issue entirely, but part of it is that the show is just too scattered. It doesn't seem to know what it wants to be or how it wants to present itself. It's schizophrenic. It's also somewhat sloppy. In on

It is expensive, but I've gotten more enjoyment out of it, and sunk more time into it, than any AAA title since... Goldeneye.

From what I understand, llamaserver can get stuck in a loop where it keeps trying to host a game with corrupt turn file(s). It continues to keep updating, but isn't able to move onto the next game, thus freezing all of them. Llamabeast should be able to fix it. I think he's in the UK, so he should be getting up any time now...

If you're checking your email once or twice a day, you wont miss it. Once Llama get's the server past this hiccup, it will process the turn and send you the new mail as per normal.
