I'm pretty excited by what I've heard of Clockwork Empires so far, though there isn't a whole lot of info out yet. It's a mashup of Dwarf Fortress, Victorian England, Victorian-era pseudo science, steampunk, and HP Lovecraft by the indie studio Gaslamp Games (who made Dungeon of Dredmor). They're drawing a lot from Dwarf Fortress, something they freely admit, but they're trying to make the genre more accessible while keeping the dark humor and tendency for your colony

Honestly, I love the name. But if people want something more dignified, I'll move over. Also, as a preorder...er(?) I have one of those one-time guild influence boosters. Let me know when we're settled, and I'll pull it out. WvWvW Was actually pretty fun, despite how crippled melee characters are. I did better with a rifle, but I still can't really compete with hunters and elementalists, who just wipe out who legions of us. That said, I hit 20 pvping last night

I Lol'd. This happens whenever a new champ is released, especially one as powerful as Rengar comes out--he shows up in every game, and chances are, his player doesn't really know him yet. So you get a lot of shit Rengars, even though Rengar is badly in need of a nerf.

Since I'll be trying to play with arranged groups, I've been experimenting with different roles. Usually in solo queue I would play a pretty narrow selection of of pretty heavy-hitting champs, namely Ashe, Akali, AP or AD Yi (AP Yi has to be one of the most fun champs out there!), WW and Jax. So right now I'm focusing on Janna for support and Mundo for tank. Janna is interesting. She has no real healing, which makes her interesting. I'm still getting the hang of

Honestly, I didn't go into it expecting to play an mmo killer or a truly new take on the genre. GW2 is an mmo, and I expected it to play as one. I'm a minor mmo junky (from UO in '98 on), and the lack of a subscription simply makes this a cheaper fix for me.

Well, I've got my Scar Warrior to almost level 13. I'm enjoying it quite a bit. The storyline is more gripping than the other races I've tried so far (Asura and the plant people), and the skill challenges aren't as horribly hard or plain broken as those of the plant people. They have one jumping puzzle that takes forever, and is high enough to kill you if you miss a jump. I failed a dozen times before I gave up. Some tips for pacov and others who didn't have the be

I joined Tarnished Coast. Currently playing an Asura Engineer. Honestly, I'm not liking this character as much as my Charr Mesmer, who's storyline was much more engaging, and darker/less cartoonish. I may have to character hop a bit until I find a combo I enjoy. But fun game.

I woke up at 2:30 am, couldn't seem to get back to sleep, so I decided to put the time towards a practice game with Akali. Despite a stunning lack of teamwork in all lanes, I managed to claim 27 of our 57 kills. I remember why I loved her so much. A question: Are replays saved automatically, or do I have to enable them? I'd love to go back and take a closer look at what I was doing right and wrong.

As much as I love the series and would love to see an rpg or tactical rpg based on it, I utterly despise essentially all social media games. The same level of quality simply isn't there.

I'd have to say Master of Magic, Colonization (the original), and X-Com are the oldest ones I play regularly. I do break out some older ones from time to time, from Wolfenstein 3D to Warsong or Shining Force/Shining in the Darkness ( the former being tactical RPGs, the latter a dungeon crawler, all for Sega Genesis).

I picked up LoP when it was released. It's a complete lemon. And not one with which you can squeeze some lemonade. It's broken. The UI is terrible. The key mapping is simply broken. The campaign/tutorial is a travesty. Combat is a waste of time. Graphics are junk. Don't buy it. Let me go into detail: It's Broken: Bugs are abundant and game-breaking. In my first three attempts, the game crashed twice before turn 20. I had to exit the game on my third attempt whe
