As far as I know, there is no existing way in the unmodded game to increase the number of shards you have without building/capturing another shard altar, taking certain level-up choices for high level conclaves, or building certain unique structures in the Magic tree. There might also be a quest or two that allows this, but I'm not certain. There is a spell that converts shards of any type to shards of one type, but I don't gr

I'm enjoying it. It's a polished and interesting game that focuses on asking you to make tough decisions. That said, it's not the game purists were really looking for. It is, in many ways, less like X-Com: Enemy Unknown than some of the spiritual successors like UFO:AI. It changes up things in a number of areas. It focuses very heavily on scarcity: you won't have enough funds to build or manufacture everything you need, so you have to choose between, say, whether you want bett
Well I've started seeing Stardock game adverts all over the place, so by that standard I shouldn't be here anymore.
You will be missed.
What do you receive in exchange for linking these games? I notice the actual addresses don't match the text.
Or telekinesis. Or some other way to interact with the world using their mind or pure force of will... Really though, it's silly to debate whether a 4x race is realistic. I mean, there is no shortage of crystalinbe space faring races who lack and obvious forms of locomotion or appendages.
I logged in for a bit this morning, finished two storyline quests, but was discouraged that all that work only brought be about a third of a level's experience. Lately, though, I've been putting all my gaming time into Borderlands 2.
Yeah, that crystal cruiser is a pain. 3 times I've gotten the stasis pod, twice I've found it and the outpost. Neither of those times did I pass the Rock Homeworld. Sadface
Yeah, missiles are by far the most dangerous. Just make sure, if you're boarding (the easiest route) that you leave one enemy crewman alive. If you don't, the ship becomes AI controlled and can auto repair and put out fires. The crew doesn't replenish between battles, so leaving one guy on in a weapon room alive makes the last two battles so much easier. Just send boarders to destroy the shield and weapons at the start of each battle the sit back and enjoy the show. With a full cl
For beating the boss, a handy trick is using boarding teams. Since each weapon is in an isolated room, you can send two crewman into each one and shut the all down. Then use cloaking to avoid the worst of the power surges. Also, Ion Blaster 2s are extremely powerful. Having one will make the boss fights much easier, and allows you to completely shut down its shields.
My hanger is up to 7 ships now! Almost had the crystal ship (as in I found the pod, found the science station), but Rock Homeworld wasn't on the track I was on so I missed it. The Crystal crewman is pretty neat, though. He has an active ability and takes very little damage from suffocation. All in all, a damned fine game. A pity I missed the Kickstarter for it.
Loving it so far. The only issue I have is that unlocking the B type Kestrel is entirely luck based, whereas unlocking the b type mech cruiser is extremely easy. Oh well!
By going the Kickstarter route, they will have a firm hand on who want this, and one more thing, another form of distributorship other than Steam...
I don't understand your last point. Kickstarter doesn't distribute anything, so the hypothetical Sins2 would still likely be distributed through Steam.
It's a combo of novelty wearing thin and increased course load that's drawn me away for the moment. I'll be around a bit, just having a very busy week.
I loaded up SotS ][ during some free time Last night and I can confirm that the load times are much improved. The game is also much more stable than before. Speaking as a SotS veteran, though, I'm still not pleased with the game. Mainly these have to do with the revamped or reimagined mechanics. The new mission system, while making sense in some ways and also more realistic in others, is problematic. It's a big departure from the freeform fleet management of the first ga
Nice review. It's been ages, I cannot remember if I even have that disk anymore. I looked and found SEV. Why do you find SEIV to be that superior to SEV? Can't say I found the AI decent in either. How do you think it stacks up vs. DW?
SEV was and still is a very poor game. It had some great ideas, especially the revamped technology tree, but it's just not fun. The interface is so clunky and cluttered that it
Just picked up Sona in my quest to learn support and gave her a try. I haven't looked at any builds for her yet, so I was winging it. Teams ended up pretty asymmetrical: Trist, Sona, Gregas, Twitch and Talon, vs Blitz, Sion, Swain, Alistar and Shiyvana. Surprisingly, my team won the match, though when we saw the other team we thought it was over for us.
Part of it is that I need to put more time in. With GW going on, I've only been playing a game every once in a while, and I could literally feel how off my timing was, like an unfortunate rash. Either that, or I'm stuck way down in the low elo, where I'm slightly better than every other noob.
Embarrassing first game with the group, even if we did win. I'm more used to solo queue and blind pick, so choosing a champ based on what I'm facing isn't something I'm very good at. Oh well :P
There's not a lot that's worthwhile, to be honest. The official Final Fantasy games are great in terms of quality, but also some of the most expensive titles you can get. Even so, I've thrown hundreds of hours into FF 3, FF: War of the Lions... Oh, there's also Battle for Wesnoth, which is a great game, and an extremely good port of the PC version. If you haven't played it before, test it for free on PC rather than pony up the 5$ for the IoS version.
Welwit other than Dax and Bravo, we had a full party of 40's. We did find it pretty easy, though. I, for one, only got totallyknocked out once per run, though most fights had at least one of us knocked down. No wipes, though, and the cash at the end much more than payed for any repairs.
Alright, the second dungeon (CM), went a lot better. I think we cleared it twice in little over an hour, and I gained a level each time, as well as some slightly above average loot. That makes it quicker than running around doing tasks for me. AND, I was able to keep my DPS built for the entire thing, only switching out an elite summon for an elite banner. All-in-all, it was a stark contrast to last night's AC attempt. Pleasurable, even.
WaitWaiting. Why would youawait to farm experience after 80....?
Oh, I'll give it another shot too (or the manor, as I passed 40 last night), but I would definitely want a full party, and a dedicated tank. My warrior, even completely respecc'd, would have not done a whole lot better last night.
Pacov will probably post something in a minute, but I thought I'd throw my thoughts up as well. Tonight we tried a dungeon. It went poorly. Like, very poorly. We started it with only 4 people, and going into it, I think we all had our grinding DPS builds going, which caused a party wipe on the very first enemy. And another one. We did improve, with time, only being wiped when faced with multiple opponents, but I think we were too slow to adjust. Unf
