On the flip side, I find them to be the two worst fantasy authors on the planet. I somehow got through the first two books in the Ice & Fire series, and (even more impressively) forced myself to read Hobb's Farseer trilogy -- and in both cases, I ended up wishing for

But with a big problem - the fonts are broken. Now they've got pirates outing themselves on their forum. I can't believe the audacity of freeloaders ripping off a tiny company by asking for support.
Some people have no shame (or clue).

First off, I apologize if this thread seems redundant in light of the "European availability" thread . However, sometimes the UK is considered "separate" from Europe/EU for purposes of game distribution, and I want to make sure there's no confusion or misunderstanding. Bottom line: Will the boxed version of Elemental be available for purchase in the UK, either in retail stores or online shops (l

I've been casually following Horizon's development off & on for years now. I like what I've read/heard about the game thus far, but it's been in development for so long that I'm not going to be hold my breath waiting for it. Here's hoping, though!

Frogboy , I've been meaning to ask for a while now: Was your map directly inspired by Tolkien's, or did you only realize after the fact that they were similar (at least in terms of the general layout)?
I thought you said a while ago the total budget to make Elemental was under a million? Somewhere in the $800,000 range. Or was that a different quote I'm thinking of?
I think that was the budget for GalCiv2. I may be mistaken as well, however, so it's probably best not to quote me on that.

Meh; I'm pretty ambivalent either way. I'd go with whichever is easier for you guys -- that, and/or whichever will be easier on our computers.

That's an easy one for me. While I always appreciate games that boast both good graphics and good gameplay, when push comes to shove, I won't hesitate to sacrifice graphics. Unless I find a game's visuals to be truly atrocious (and there's fortunately very few examples that would qualify in my book), gameplay will pretty much always trump everything else.

Personally, I'd guess our power was closer to that of Sauron. If our channelers have as much power as Morgoth/Melkor, they'd virtually be gods.
Didn't Morgoth give most of his power to Sauron before he got banished by the gods to where ever?
Not as I understand it, no. Sauron was his chief lieutenant, however, and already quite powerful in his own right.
WINNER. TAKE. ALL. This is the part where we want to hear your opinions. We do ask that you keep an open mind on what we ultimately go with. My opinion is that the attacking player has the onus to finish the battle in N turns. After N turns, the attacker morale starts to go lower and lower at which point the defender can come out and make mince meat out of them. The question is, what should determine what N is? Or should we allow retreating? Should we all
