Quoting Frogboy, reply 44 Unfortunately, we don't have that kind of system in FE/LH. But it's the direction we want to take things in. As an update to FE/LH or as a part of a future product in the FE line?
Don't know yet. Depends on $$$ really.

Achievements are a big thing. Getting mod support (if not in LH, in whatever comes later) started is a big thing. Getting cloud saves going is something we'd like to see. Getting a cloud high score list would be a cool thing. Setting things up so that unit designs can be more easily shared would be nice. How much will make it into the release I have no idea. But these are a few of the things that a steamworks version opens up to us.

I think some spell based (adding spells to the game) ones with scenarios/maps could have a lot of potential. I would pay just for more diverse/interesting spells, and I think most would if you add scenarios as well in the DLC. And finally, please add Legendary starts, or customizable starts. It would go a long

I prefer to play games like this going at each different mechanic from an odd angle. I still am excited about the range in LH, not because I like the melee part, but because I don't like the random part, it would be nice to see the current FE AI try to use melee units with the "C

Steamworks requires Steam. We're not using any DRM features of it. The problem with Steamworks remains the same I used to discuss in the Impulse::Reactor days -- to use the very useful libraries of Steamworks you have to include Steam. Unfortunately, GameStop didn't carry forward our work on Impulse::Reactor (which is a shame because it had features at the prototype level that still aren't in Steamworks) and we no longer have the ability to develop thos

I might be wrong but I'm not familiar with anyone who has been writing computer game AI as long as I have (maybe someone reading this could check). The OS/2 version of Galactic Civilizations used to save bits of data to disk that when the player played future games the AI could gather what type of
good things to hear sounds like good progress. On AI; my offer to help write improved ai still stands; and the biggest way to easily make significant improvements in the ai is through genetic algorithms and data mining of the games played by all the players; that allows for much better races and units quite readily.
I appreciate the offer to help. But unless you have ever actually written a computer game AI i
Game stability trumps all other concerns. 1. Fix 1.2 Crashes on End Turn (after 60 turns on the "Clash" map from the Pack, these crashes are constant: game unplayable). 2. Fix 1.2 Crashes on Save Game (same deal; after 60 turns or so the game crashes when you try to save; save unsuccessful and game hence unplayable). Additional features mean nothing when the game simply won't play at all.&nbsp

I'm still wondering what percentage of your customers for TBS games are still using XP- and when do you pull the plug? I can understand why you didn't on LH, but if you're getting down to 10%, it's time on your next game.
BOO. Why do you say that. You prefer the F-35?
1.3 is the first version with procedural tile yield support. That basically means that the map generator will look at a lot of other factors when deciding the tile yield of a given tile is. The result is a lot more variance. Ohhh playing on my curiosity... Curse you... And thanks for all of its Looks really good. Hm, now I won't be able to intimately know why the terrain tiles have the certain stats anymore ...<b

I'm working on a new build here. If you have any quickie specific AI stuff I can put it in. I just got a new diplomacy (internal to the AI) thing in that I think will make the AI behave..better. I'm running it through some stability testing scripts now to make sure it's all really solid. IF a unit isin't riding a mount of some kind by mid game, that's a bug. I've made the AI go and at its earliest ability buy mounts if it doesn't

You're making some serious improvements and I really think that this will go a long way towards righting the few "wrongs" with FE, but without true racial uniqueness, it still feels like it falls....short. Give us a unique twist on Orcs, hobbits, dwarves, lizard people, etc. FE suffers for this. Please do something about this. [/q

Yes but I know Jon personally and I'm very very familiar with the development cycle of Civilization V. He's a good guy, a great game designer and worth supporting. I'm very familiar with how people interpret things on the net. Last time I checked, I was some sort of monster who treated my coworkers as "whores" (as one person put it). What you read online is rarely even remotely accurate to reality. Even interviews where they're supposedly quoting thin
