I recently started a game with all custom factions based off of the Elder Scrolls series(with stats that match as close as possible, and preset city names)
I was the Imperials(Tiber), and my opponents were Nords, Dunmer, Bosmer, Dwemer, and Argonians.
The game started out with me being blocked in by the Nords and Dwemer, so i decided to attack the Nords. I quickly captured Windhelm and was on my way to march onto Markarth and Riften.
I decided to attack Ulfric and his tiny army (3v5) only to my surprise, Ulfric destroyed my entire army single handedly!
I tried again, and again only with the same result.
Soon though, the Dwemers declared war on me (they are all damned kingdoms, so they all hate me).
Anywho, I defended until i got longswords for my legionnaires and quickly dispatched Windhelm's defenders. To my surprise, Ulfirc wasn't there, and instead is in some other town far away.
The fight against the Dwemers didn't last too long either, my better equipped Legions were too much for them (None of my heroes could cast a spell worth anything, and only Tiber was able to do anything in a fight).
When the Dwemers were destroyed, I met up with the Bosmers, who were begging for my aid against the Dunmers. I didn't care for either because of how far away they were.
One of my scouts discovered the new Nord city of Morthal with Ulfric in it.
So I figured, I'd go there and finish what i started.
Before I could get my troops to leave my territory, I get the message that the Nords were destroyed. I looked at the region in fog of war, it wasn't captured, instead, just utterly destroyed.
I was quite confused, but the Dunmer kept my confusion short, as they declared war on me almost immediately.
By now, my troops were equiped with longbows and light plate armor, while the Dunmer were still using leather.
The Dunmer were quite a pushover. I captured half of their cities, including their captial, Blacklight.
At this time, I learned what became of the Nords... a God damned 4 stack(4 groups of 3 drakes + 1 big dragon, 12+1 in total) of drakes and Dragons wondered into my newly captured city of Tear.
By now, my main army was rated as "EPIC" in strength, and so was the dragon fight.
I quickly gathered all of my soldiers into it to defend, while using Earthquake to hold the dragons in place.
(FYI, Earthquake doesn't seem to hold groups of >1 for 3 turns, instead it only holds them for 1 turn.)
Anyways, the battle, was quite epic(pun intended), but we won, and so continued with the full conquest of the Dunmers.
Meanwhile, the Bosmers had an obscenely low score of 7... By the end of the game, I found out that they had no more cities, instead their sovereign just chilled in the Dunmer's base for over 50 turns... bug?
Before their destruction, they managed to sneak a group of 2 of their heroes(sov and a champ) all the way into the Imperial City, destroyed both Elemental Shards, before my reinforcements from nearby could arrive.
Damn them and their sneakiness.

============================
Overall, statisfying game with mainly focused on Armies (my Soverign was more of a meat shield than a damage dealer, for my archers).
The custom factions really made it a notch better in terms of the feel.
Game time: 9 Hours

*P.S*, If you are wondering what happened to the Argonians... I forgot... literally nothing interesting happened besides them being steamrolled :/
