Overall I feel like .951 is a lot more solid than the initial BETA 4 release. Good work guys!
I'm getting less crashes, less slow downs, and more reliable saves. A lot of bugs are still around but they are less detrimental to actually playing the game which was my biggest complaint. I actually had a 300+ turn game last night without any major issues.
A few note/suggestions:
- Drag and dropping for the tactical battle hotkeys would be heaven! Or better yet borrow a trick from Skyrim, let me press the hotkey button as my mouse cursor is over the spell in the selection list to assign it.
- Maybe more hot key slots? Is 8, 9, and 0 already used for something?
- I think monster units should gain some attack and def as they level up besides just the usual hitpoints. I've played long enough games now to confirm that they obsolete themselves and just become meat shields way too quickly.
- Fog of war is still unreliable after loading a saved game.
- I would love if quests had a "cancel" option when you go on it accidently or just passing by so you don't miss out on a quest you weren't ready for.
- I love that champions are leveling a lot quicker and the new tutelage spell.
- Mana seems harder to come by now--which I like--but I think a lot of spells are overpriced for what they do. Especially since a lot of the good tactical spells now take more than one turn to cast.
There's still a lot of balancing that needs to be done but like you said that's a BETA 5 thing so I won't complain too much about that. Over all good job!
