I created a custom faction with Altaran blood for the henchmen ability. A couple of weird things happened.
1. The henchmen came out as a unit and had 3 members in it. Yes I clicked the tab for henchmen, and used all my traits towards spells so I know I clicked it.
2. The unit was not able to buy/trade items.
So pretty much I made a regular unit that could use three different types of spells. Not the worst thing in the world, but certainly not what I wanted or as intended by the trait description. I really love the make your own champ approach that henchmen allow and hope this is fixed soon. Thanks.
Beta 4 on a whole rocks! Other things I saw that could use a little more elbow grease.
1. Route planning-It is better, but still needs work. It does not recognize the master scout trait in it's calculations, also a favorite of mine, I guess I am lucky.
2. Weird AI use of outposts. I saw several instances where the AI put an outpost that accomplished jack squat, and were within the ZOC of another outpost and a city.
3. Upgrading resources shows up on city build list(which I absolutely love) IF the resource is connected directly to the city. If the resource is in the ZOC or in an outpost ZOC and not touching a city building you have to manually go to each resource. This maybe be working as intended but would love to see all upgrades show up on the build list in the associated city.
4. Probably just dumb luck but I got really weird item drops one game. Out of maybe 15 total items found, 4 were back packs, and 3 were hate stones. I only got maybe 4 other equip-able items that were different, rest were consumables. Probably just bad luck.
Would love to see:
1. A way to view stacking armies details in full. Stacking can making it very hard to know what you are up against.
2. An option to tell the AI when you are using auto play how aggressive or conservative to be with casting in tactical combat. I didn't see my champs use any spells in auto when I watched.
3. Resource upgrades in city build list like mentioned above.
EDIT: I would also love to see a way to manually build road through settlers or some other method. The auto placement of roads is very hit or miss on its usefulness.
You guys are great, keep up the good work!
