My army has 4 move points, yet cannot move:
Does the red X above the army mean that someone has cast a spell, explaining why it can't move?
I had started casting the Spell of Mastery, could that be it? I think the last time I cast it was on a previous beta when it didn't do this.
I have seen this after capturing cities. Normally it means that the army cannot move, cause it has a hero that has an injury and cannot move.
You get the same symbol on enemy armies after casting spells like tremor, which prevent them from moving. Maybe the AI has cast it on you, but I have not seen it cast strategic spells on enemy heroes yet (only on cities).
Spell of Mastery takes something like 25 turns to cast, so you are unable to do anything until the time is up. It's happened to me, but unfortunately there is no counter to let you know how many turns have past or remain before it activates.

I think it was the spell of mastery that did it. Would have been nice if there was some way to tell.
The victory conditions screen (in govern) shows the remaining turns; would be nicer in a more "main screen" context.
So, does the lack of movement only apply to your sovereign after you cast the spell of making or does it affect all units?
Only the Sovereign (in my experience).
